Like father, like son. Like Zeus, Apollo also had many love affairs. Here is a list of his love affairs.

1) Lover: Cyrene, a nymph (a fairy)

Information about Offspring: Aristaeus was a demi-god (half god and half mortal). He became the protector of cattle and fruit trees.

2) Lover: Hecuba, the wife of Priam, the king of the city Troy
Name of Offspring: Troilius
Information about Offspring: An Oracle predicted that as long as Troilius reached the age of twenty, Troy would never be defeated in battle. However, Achilles secretly killed Troilius when he and his sister were visiting a spring.

Other: Apollo gave Cassandra the art of prophecy. However, Cassandra did not return his affections, so Apollo said that no one would ever believe her predictions. Cassandra tried to warn the king of troy about the battles, but he would never listen.

Other: Coronis had cheated on Apollo and Apollo was furious. He killed Coronis, but before Coronis' body was inflamed, Apollo grabbed his child from her womb. He let Chiron, a centaur (half human, half-horse), raise his child.

Other: Apollo gave Cyparissus a holy deer. Unfortunately, the deer was accidentally killed by Cyparissus' javelin when Cyparissus threw the javelin. Cyparissus was very sad and asked Apollo to let his tears flow forever. Apollo reluctantly turned Cyparissus into a cypress tree because the sap on the tree formed droplets like those of teardrops.
