Welcome to the
Greenside Millennium Green Web pages.
Greenside is a small village on the rural fringe of Gateshead in the North East of England and
was chosen as a site for a
Millennium Green.
Thanks to funding from The National Lottery, The Countryside Commission and local businesses work is now
complete, turning what was the old colliery site and railway line into a new community
resource.
