Peanut makes his/her appearance!

Well, to say the least, Mother became a bit suspicious... The first urine test showed positive on 21 December 2001.  We had been married precisely 7 years and 7 months on this day. Because of all the holidays in December, the first opportunity we had to make an appointment at the hospital to confirm with the blood test was 24 December 2001. That afternoon, the test showed positive and we were overjoyed.  The approxiamte age of Peanut was between 5-6 weeks.

To the right is the first scan, taken on 8 January 2002. Peanut emerged to be 7 weeks of age and a full length of 9.2mm. Not even one centremeter. If you look at the black hole towards the top left, Peanut is the small object between the two crosses. Just above Peanut, the circular white ring, is the egg yoke sack that keeps Peanut alive. Mother is feeling pretty tired, as is the case during the first trimester. So, Daddy, pull up your socks and start doing the dishes and the laundry, eh!
