MAGRITTE
When describing Belgian artist, Rene Magritte, George Melly wrote, "He is a secret agent; his object is to bring into disrepute the whole apparatus of bourgeois reality. "

With this in mind, it should come as no surprise that Magritte was the ultimate purveyor of the truth about Xena and Gabrielle.  His paintings, with their stage-like settings, pre-date and predict future theatrical presentations such as the television program, 'Xena: Warrior Princess.'

Found amongst Gustaf der Scheissekopf's massive collection of great art was a veritable cornucopia of Rene Magritte's work.  Here are a few examples...
