Saibaimen (Cultivars, Cybermen) - These are little plant men that the Saiyans Vegeta and Nappa used to take on the Z Fighters when they landed on Earth. They are actually grown underground first a seed is planted then a solution is placed on top of each one and then voila instant chaos! They have a power level of 1,200 (the same as Raditz) and have a technique called Kamikaze which sees the end of Yamcha
Salt (Zorudo) - One of Garlic Juniors "Spice Boys" Salt looks like a squished red version of the villain in Mulan with a tentacle moustache. He's weak and one of the first to die
Sanshyo - Garlic Junior's enormous muscle bound henchman in DBZ Movie one. He's killed by Piccolo who takes revenge as Sanshyo beat him up while he was training in the wilderness
Sharpner - Your typical high school jock. He participates in many sports including Baseball. He torments Gohan in school at first but then Gohan earns his respect when he learns Gohan can take a fast ball to the face without flinching and catch a ball 20 feet in the air. Sharpner is friends with Erasa and Videl (who Sharpner fancies).
Shenron (Shenlong, Eternal Dragon) - Created in the year 470 Shenron is the Earth's Eternal Dragon who appears when all seven dragonballs are gathered together. Shenron can only grant one wish each time he is summoned and then the dragonballs turned to stone and are scattered across the Earth. In one years time they will return to normal and can be used again. Shenron is linked to his creator (Kami) and if he dies then the dragonballs are useless. There is other stuff but go here to see it.
Shugesh (Pan Bukin) - He is the fat squat member of Bardocks team who gets he gets scarred while in ozouru (ape) form during a battle and retaliates by crushing the poor alien that hit him. He is killed by Dodorias henchmen. His Japanese name of Pan Bukin is a play on pumpkin.
Spice (Cashew) - One of Garlic Juniors henchmen when he escapes the deadzone and the leader of the spice boys. He's quite tough and one of the last to die. He receives more power as the Makyo star nears Earth.
Spopovitch (Supopo Bitchi) - A compeditor in the 24th World Tournament he did quite well until he was eaily beaten by Hercule. In the 25th Tournament he returns with a great power up and the ability to fly and do energy blasts. He completely tortures poor Videl and she nearly dies. Videl even kicked Spopovitch's head so hard that it spun all the way around but he just turned it back! Later on Spopovitch and his assistant Yamu steal Gohan's energy to assist in the awkening of Majin Buu. Spopovitch is killed by Babidi who expands his body until it explodes
South Kai (Kaiou of the South) - The tall pink kai. South Kai is North Kai's rival and the only other kai (apart from King Kai) to appear in the manga (East and West Kai are only in the anime). South Kai claims his best student Papoi is stronger than Goku but really he doesn't stand a chance.
South Supreme Kai (South Kaioshin) - The strongest of the four supreme kais, South Supreme Kai was the second to last of his kind to be killed by Buu. When Buu absorbed this massive deity, he became Huge Buu.
Super Buu - (Continued from Evil Buu) Super Buu is Majin Buu's third form and what Buu looks like after the fusion of Fat Buu and Evil Buu. Super Buu is a tall pink muscular version of Buu. Super Buu is intelligent but doesn't talk much. Super Buu rushes up to Kami's tower and takes on Gotenks. The two fight but Gotenks defuses before a winner is decided. Super Buu thenn fights Mystic Gohan but finds hes not match for him so he absorbs Gotenks and Piccolo. Buu transforms slightly getting Gotenks' power and Piccolo's intelligence. Gohan then fights Buu but gets absorbed as well just after Goku and Gohan were about to fuse. After absorbing Gohan Buu's face changes slightly, his forelock becomes huge and his torso his covered by Gohans gi. In short, the world is screwed. Luckily for Goku, Vegeta is taken back to Earth by Baba at that exact moment, and he teleports over to Vegeta and they fuse just as about Buu is about to kill the both of them. Buu gets his ass kicked, but eventually absorbs Vegetto. After being split, Goku and Vegeta run around inside Buu's stomach and eventually happen upon their buddies encased in little capsules attached to Buu. they rip out their friends, and cause Buu to revert back to normal Super Buu form. Buu realizes that he's in trouble so he phases out and actually fights them inside of himself, until Vegeta finds a gold mine, Fat Buu! Buu pleads Vegeta not to rip it out, but since when does Vegeta listen to pleas? after ripping out Fat Buu, Goku and Vegeta escape Buu just in time to see how royally they've %##^$@ up. by removing all of their friends and Fat Buu, Buu no longer has anything that was previously in him, and reverts back to his original child-like form popularly reffered to as Kid Buu...(see Kid Buu for what happens next)
Supreme Kai (East Kaioshin) - A god far beyond the rule and power of the Grand Kai. This is the Kaioshin that we get to know and the only one we see in the manga. Supreme Kai is a short purple guy with elf ears and a white mowhawk. The Supreme Kai may not look strong but he is (of course hes nothing compared to Goku and the gang) and although he gets a huge power up when he fuses with Kibito hes still nowhere near as powerful. The Supreme Kai usually helps everyone with his ability to teleport people places and after he fuses with Kibito he can heal them as well.
T
Tapcar (Tapika) - A compeditor in the Other World Tournament who can move with incredible speed. He demonstrates his speed against his opponent but unfortunately he runs out of energy and has to forfeit the match before his opponent can attack.
Tien (Tenshinhan) - Tien is classified as a human despite the fact he has three eyes! (but then again Krillin doesn't have a nose!) Tien' past is never fully revealed but somehow he became best friends with Chaozu. Tiens martial arts teacher was some guy called Tsuru-sennin who he abandons after he finds out he was forcing Chaozu to telepathically hold Goku in place. From that point forward he trains himself in the wilderness.
Torah (Toma) - He is Bardocks best friend and the only one left somewhat alive after the sneak attack by Dodoria. It is Toma who tells Bardock about Freeza's treachery and his plan to destroy Planet Vegeta. The bandana Bardock wore during his final battle was worn by Toma as an armband and was covered in his blood. Bardock wore it to honor his fallen comrades. His Japanese name (Toma) is a play on Tomato.
Torbie (Torubi) - A compeditor in the Other World Tournament who looks like a cross between Frieza and Cell (except he's orange). He wins his match against his opponent, Tapcar because Tapcar wears himself out while demonstrating his speed. Torbie is from the South Quadrant
Tsuno - The elder in the village of Namekians that Vegeta kills. There were 19 Namekians in the village before Vegeta killed them all.
(Future) Trunks (Mirai Trunks) - Trunks is the son of Vegeta and Bulma and comes to the present from the year 784 AD. In his time all of the Z fighters have been killed by Androids 17 and 18. Gohan trains Trunks and when he dies this causes Trunks to go super saiyan after this he uses a time machine built by his mother Bulma to travel back in time to the year 764 AD so he can give Goku medicine for his heart disease and warn them about the androids. He also kills King Cold and Frieza and after warning everyone about the androids and giving Goku the medicine he returns to his own time and waits six months for the time machine to recharge after this he travels back to 767 AD (three years later than when he traveled back to before) and finds out that history has been somehow changed but in a bad way eg more androids that are more powerful. He trys to develop a relationship with his father but Vegeta has nothing of it and trains with him in the room of spirit and time. He manages to go to Ultra Super Saiyan when fighting Cell (another villain Trunks had never seen) but quickly realises the forms flaws and is easily beaten. He is killed during the Cell Games by Cell but is later revived. He them journeys back to his own time and thanks to his new power kills Android 17, Android 18 and Cell
Kid/Baby Trunks (Chibi Trunks) - Kid Trunks is the one born in the timeline we see. He was born in 767 AD and the main difference between him and Future Trunks is that the Z fighters and his father are around as he grows up. He also goes super saiyan alot younger than his future counter part. At age eight in 774 AD he participated in the junior division of the 25th World Tournament which he won. He later steals a costume with Goten so that he can participate in the adult division.
U
Uub (Ubuu) - The good reincarnation of Buu as a human. He's a little black boy from a poor village who Goku meets at the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai. At first he seems to have no power, but when Goku makes him angry, his true power shows and he even hurts Goku's arm when he kicks it. He agrees to go with Goku to train at Kami's palace so that he can control and improve his power. He was born just a few months after Buu was killed in the year 774 A.D.
V
Vegeta (Vejita, Bejita) - Vegeta was the prince of the former Saiyan race. He was born in 732 AD. Vegeta is first seen in Dragonball Z when he comes to Earth to get the dragonballs with his "bodyguard" Nappa so he can wish for immortality. Of course he fails when Goku shows up. And after he is healed he flies to Namek so he can again try to wish to immortality but that doesn't work either and he is killed by Frieza (although he is later wished back to Earth) and is later wished to Earth where is is stuck but eventually goes round the universe searching of Goku in the hope that the will tell him how he can become a Super Saiyan.
Vegetto (Vegito) - Vegetto is a result of the fusion caused by the Potara Earings between Goku and Vegeta. Vegetto is extraordinarily powerful, however, like all fusion characters, he's also extremely cocky and thus plays with Buu, rather than getting right to the point and killing him. in the anime, Vegetto is around for quite a few episodes, but his role in the manga is short lived. Fusion by the Potara Earings is supposed to be forever, however, Buu absorbs Vegetto and in order to break down his components so that he can actually gain power from him, Buu's enzymes break down Vegetto into Goku and Vegeta again.
Videl (Bideru) - The daughter of Mr Satan and one of the strongest humans Videl was born in 756 AD and for the most part of her life grew up with just her dad (her mum died when she was very young). She uses her fighting abilities to help the people of Orange Star city fighting crime. When Gohan shows up she is very suspicious of him but after she find out that he is the superhero Great Saiyaman she bribes him into teaching her to fly. At the 25th World Tournament Videl is beaten almost to death by Spopovitch but is healed thanks to the senzu beans. Later on Videl is killed after being turned into chocolate by Super Buu. After Buu's defeat she marries Gohan and the two of them have a daughter named Pan
Vinegar - The largest of Garlic Juniors henchmen when he returns. He is one of the last to be killed
W
West Kai - The tiny purple kai who is King Kai's adversary in the Other World Tournament. His greatest student is Pikkon and he's always boasting that Pikkon is way stronger than any other fighter (especially to King Kai).
West Supreme Kai (West Kaioshin) - The only female Supreme Kai. West Supreme Kai seems to enjoyed quite a bit of fun on the holy planet of Kaioshin Kai millions of years before Dragonball begins and before Majin Buu arrived that is. When Buu arrives on Kaioshin Kai she puts up a good fight but is eventually killed by Buu along with the North and West Supreme Kai's and Dai Kaio. Only East Supreme Kai (who we know simply as Supreme Kai or "Shin") survived...
Wild Tiger (Moukeko) - the burly foul-mouthed Mongolian who Pan faces in the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai. He makes fun of her and torments her in the anime. She beats him with just a slap and a kick. He's 7' 5" tall.
Y
Yajirobe - Yajirobe is a sword-wielding, vagabond monk. He first meets Goku during the King Piccolo Saga and befriends him under an odd set of circumstances. While the two are talking, Piccolo Daiamouu 's child, Cymbal sneaks up on them. Both Goku and Yajirobe are eager to fight him, but Yajirobe wins a game of paper-scissors, so he gets to fight him. He slices the monster in half. Yajirobe is far from being the coward he's portrayed as in the English version. Granted he's not always running head-first into danger, but he's not a baby. Yajirobe later rescues Goku from his first encounter with Piccolo Daimaou and takes him to Karin to drink the Super God Water, (and get healed with a Senzu). Yajirobe takes a liking to Karin's abode, so he stays with him after the Piccolo Daimaou Saga ends. Yajirobe shows up a lot in Dragonball, up to the appearance of Frieza. After that, he shows up during the beginning of the Android Saga, but that's about it. Of course he makes a few more appearances in the manga, (and many more short ones in the anime), but he loses a lot of his importance, like many of the original Z Soldiers near the end of the series. Yajirobe is 5' 4" tall, (he's a little self conscious of his weight so he doesn't give it out).
Yakon - A huge demonic creature controlled by Babidi. Goku has to face Yakon in complete darkness so in order to locate Yakon he turns super saiyan and locates him with the light of his ki. Unfortunately for Goku Yakon eats ki! But Goku uses this ability against him and powers up so much that Yakon explodes
Yamcha - Born in 733 AD, Yamcha began as a common thief. He stoles Capsules from wanderers who travelled through his desert with the help of his friend Puar and earned the nickname "The Desert Bandit". Yamcha originally wanted to make a wish with the Dragon Balls to do away with his horrible fear of women, but during the time that he shadows Bulma and the others, he learns to deal with females. He and Bulma get together after the whole ordeal with Emperor Pilaf, and become boyfriend and girlfriend. This carries on for a loooooong time. Yamcha plays a large part of most major events in Dragonball, and is usually around. After the 22nd Tenkaichi Budoukai, he trains with Krillin and Tien at Master Roshi’s and becomes a member of the Turtle School of Martial Arts, as depicted on his orange gi. Yamcha is killed by a Saibamen Man during the Saiyan Saga, and Bulma realises how much she loves him after she loses him, so she decides to go help the other search for the Dragonballs on Namek. Yamcha then spends time training on King Kai's planet and is eventually tearfully reunited with Bulma later. However, his time with Bulma was short lived. Yamcha always had a problem with young girls chasing after him, and although he wasn't always interested in them, Bulma always discovered him in awkward situations which weren't his fault, so Bulma loses interest in him and heads over to Rancho del Vegeta. Yamcha is not hit too hard by the turn of events, and still remains good friends with Bulma. His presence is zilch by the end of DBZ, and even when he's around, he doesn't do anything useful, this is partly due to the fact that after the Cell Saga, he loses interest in training and settles down. Yamcha is never seen with another woman. Yamcha is 6' tall and weighs 151 lbs.
Yamu - Spopovitch's assistant who helps him steal energy from Gohan at the 25th World Tournament to assist in the awakening of Majin Buu. He's killed by Pui Pui.
Yoodon - A 10 year old motorcyclist who provides the getaway bike for Gohan and the other orphans when they steal apples from a local market.
Yuzukaa - Gokus elderly man driving instructor who tells them that they don't need to learn to drive as they can fly!
Z
Zakuro - One of the two aliens who pretend to be Namekians so they can steal Bulma, Krillin and Gohans ship so they can leave them on a desolate planet they almost suceed but Krillin and Gohan show them who's boss
Zarbon - Frieza's right hand man Zarbon along with his counterpart Dodoria have been with Frieza for quite some time before he takes on Vegeta who kicks him at first but then Zarbon transforms and his power level increases by 10,000 which means he is able to kick Vegeta's ass but then after Vegeta is healed and they fight again Vegeta is far stronger than Zarbon and Vegeta punches him so that his hand goes right into his stomach and the fires a blast instantly killing him.
Zeshin - One of the leaders of the group of orphans whose spaceship Krillin, Bulma and Gohan mistakenly board on their trip to Namek
Zeeun - One of Lord Slugs henchmen in DBZ Movie 4 who Slug kills because Zeeun calls him old
