With Piccolo, Chaozu, Tien and Yamcha dead Bulma, Gohan and Krillin begin there journey to Namek to find the Dragonballs and wish there friends back. Since Goku was badly hurt in the battle against Vegeta he coudn't go with Bulma, Krillin and Gohan to Namek but he would go later.
Bulma, Krillin and Gohan fly towards Namek and encounter Shape shifting creatures, mirror ships, and other hazards. Vegeta during this time returns to Frieza base and Rejuvinates himself back to full health, and zips of to Namek to wish for immortality. Krillin, Gohan and Bulma finally reach the planet, only to find that Frieza has already collected seven of the Dragonballs.
On Earth Goku is healed with the help of the senzu beans and flies to Buma's dad and takes off in a spaceship that he was constructing and took off once in space he started to train at 20x Earth's normal Gravity and if he wanted to he could train at 100x Earth's gravity which would increase his power dramatically.
On Namek Krillin realised that he was over powered so he went to the eldest Namek to get a Dragonball, at Guru's the Eldest Namek Krillin's hidden powers were awaken by Guru and Krillin was told that the dragonballs are going to dissapear when he dies and that he is going to die soon so Krillin must hurry.
In the mean time Vegeta has collected a ball himself, and he hides it in a near by lake. Then he sense Zarbon and goes to attack him, Vegeta is doing really well and Zarbon has no chance in till he transforms and kicks Vegeta's Ass. Frieza asks Zarbon to heal Vegeta so that he can tell them the the place of he Dragonball that he found and hid, but Vegeta is healed then he escapes, gets Frieza's Dragonballs and leaves. Greatly angred Frieza send Zarbon to find Vegeta and bring him back. Vegeta who got away has now got six Dragonballs and needs to find the seventh and lucky for him he see's Krillin with the seventh flying past and goes after him and Zarbon see's both of them and joins the chase.
When Krillin gets to there hiding place, Gohan is gone and Bulma tells Krillin that he found a Dragonball on Dragonball radar (which happens to be Vegeta's ball he hid in the lake) then Vegeta arrives and then Zarbon, Zarbon and Vegeta fight Vegeta coming out on top even when Zarbon transformed because in the last fight he came close to death and then he was healed which increases a Saiyans power. Since Vegeta is stronger than Krillin he hands over the Dragonball which makes him think that he has all seven but Gohan reckes his plan and finds the other one and takes it back to Bulma.
Now Frieza is extremly angry that he doesn't have his Dragonballs he summones the Ginyu Force. Now Krillin and Gohan race towards Guru's to get Gohan's sleeping power awakened but Vegeta arrives there at the same time as them so Gohan rushes towards Guru and gets his hidden powers revealed. Then they sense that the Ginyu Force has arrived and Vegeta tells Gohan and Krillin to give him the other Dragonball so he can wish for immortality so he can beat the Ginyu Force so they fly off and get it from Bulma and then fly off to where Vegeta hid the other ones Krillin still in contol of his Dragonball never does give it to Vegeta so he can't wish for immortality and that the Ginyu Force arrives. The leader of the Ginyu Force Captain Ginyu takes all the Dragonballs to Frieza.
The rest of the Ginyu Force uses paper scissors rock to decide who will fight first, and is determined that Guldo will be first to fight and he faces off against Krillin and Gohan. By freezing time and using other various tricks, Guldo gets the upper hand.
Luckly for Krillin and Gohan, Goku had takes some Senzu beans from Earth before he left and gave one Senzu bean to each of them. Then Goku gives Vegeta a Senzu bean, then Goku goes and fights Recoome and K.O'S him with one blow. Now Jeice and Burter are up, and Goku proves that he is no match for them, he knocks Burter unconcious and when Jeice see's this he leaves to get help from the leader Captain Ginyu. Meanwhile Vegeta finishes Burter and Recoome. Ginyu arrives on the seen and Krillin and Gohan go off to find the Dragonballs, Vegeta who was mean't to stay and help Goku abondon's him. Ginyu attacks Goku and is not doing to well until he changes body with Goku and then fly's back to Frieza's ship, Goku chases him as fast as he can to warn the Krillin and Gohan, but is not very fast in Ginyu's body. Vegeta is the first to reach Frieza's ship and clears it of any Guards and is unable to locate the Dragonballs so he waits for someone to come, then he senses someone, it's Krillin and Gohan and they have the Dragon Radar and they dig up the Dragonballs but are stuck when they realise they don't know the Password and they need Dende (a Namekian boy). At this point Guru has sensed Frieza coming towards them and sends Dende to find Krillin and Gohan and give them the password, then Frieza arrives at Guru's and Nail Guru's body guard faces off against Frieza because they won't give him the password. Even though Nail is the most powerful Namekian Fighter on Namek, Frieza easily defeats him with one hand. then just before Frieza delievers the final blow to Nail, Nail tells him that he was just stalling for Dende so he could reach Krillin and Gohan, and give them the password. Frieza races towards his ship, neglecting to kill nail.
Krillin and Gohan use the scouter to find where the Drgonballs are buried, but they are also unable to summon teh Dragon. Ginyu in Goku's body arrives at the ship followed by Jeice and Goku in Ginyu's body Goku tell's them what happened they attack Goku's body which has Ginyu in it. Ginyu struggles against the two warriors because he doesn't know how to work goku's body, meanwhile Vegeta now thinks that he is a Super Saiyan (but is not) attacks Jeice and kills him. Vegeta attacks Ginyu and wastes him and Goku's body, now that he is badly hurt he tries to change body's again but Goku jumps in the way is restored into his usuall body. Then Ginyu in his old body tries again but Goku once again stops him by throwing a frog in the path of him and Vegeta so Ginyu changes body with a frog and his stuck in the body of frog unable to change back.
Vegeta offers to help Goku, not for Goku but because he needs him to fight with him against Frieza. So Goku is placed into a rejuvination Chamber so he can be healed which will restore him back to health in 1 hr. Tired from his countless battles on Namek Vegeta takes a short nap. During Vegeta's sleep Krillin and Gohan meet up with Dende. Dende summons the Dragon, and their first wish is to bring Piccolo back to life. Their second wish is to bring Piccolo to Namek so that he can help in the Battle against Frieza. At this time Vegeta wakes up, and he realises that they had summoned the Dragon without him. He rushes over and demands they grant him Immortality, but just before the words could be uttered, the senior Elder dies and the Dragonballs lose their power and dissapear so Vegeta's wish is not granted. Just when Vegeta thinks can not possibly got worse, Frieza arrive at the scene.
Since Vegeta fears Frieza, only Gohan is left to battle. Enraged by what looked like to be Krillin's death, Gohan manages to connect a few attacks of Frieza putting him into the ground and what Gohan thought wasting him but in fact Frieza is not even really hurt, but now Frieza is angry and puts gohan to the ground. However, unknown to Frieza, Dende has the power to heal, and restores Krillin to full power. Using a Distructo Disk, Krillin manages to catch Frieza off guard and cuts of his tail. To give Dende time to heal Gohan, Krillin leads Frieza on a goose chase.
Now about to mave in for the kill, Frieza is confronted by thenow full healed Gohan. But just as they were to begin the battle, Piccolo arrives! He bodly states that he will take on Frieza by himself. Now a "Super Namek", Piccolo proves to Frieza that he is not only he equal but his superior fighter. With his back to the wall, Frieza decides that hes 2nd form is not going to be enough to beat Piccolo. He announces that he can transform two more times, and proceeds to his 3rd form.
Piccoo resumes the battle after the transformation, but Piccoo finds Frieza to be much faster and much more powerful. Seeing Piccolo being blasted repeatedly pushes Gohan over the edge, and he manages to land a key blow. Once Frieza feels he is being outmatched. He says that they were going to very lucky to see his final form, as he has never need to use it before, During the lengthy transfromation process, Vegeta pursuades Krillin to punch a hole in him because he belives that he will be healed by Dende and will become stronger because he came close to death and then was healed. Now Vegeta badly hurt asks Dende to heal him but does not want to because Vegeta killed so many of the Nameks, so Dende flys over to the injured Piccolo and heals him, while over there Krillin and Gohan convince Dende to heal Vegeta or they will have no chance against Frieza so he does but while doing it Frieza see's what he can do.
Now Frieza has finally transformed into his final blow the first thing he does is kill Dende. Now no one can heal them back to health. Now Vegeta goes head to head with Frieza but his new power is just a toy and Frieza easily matches all is attacks and Vegeta is beaten to a pulp, just as Frieza is about to deliver the final blow Goku arrives fully recharged from the rejuvination pod. Vegeta mocks Frieza and says to Frieza you are going to fight a real Super Saiyan as he belives Goku is one, andgered by this Frieza shots a shot throught the heart. Before he dies, he tells Goku that is was Frieza must be destroyed as he destroyed all the Saiyans and planet Vegeta and then he tell Goku tha he is the of the Saiyans. Touched by Vegeta's courage and honor, Goku gives him a decent burial at the battlefield.
Meanwhile, Captain Ginyu, trapped in the body of a frog, has gotten Bulma to place a device on him that would allow him to speak. As soon as it works he yells "Change Now," Ginyu takes Bulma's body and turns the confused girl into a frog. Wanting to see how his master is doing he takes Bulma's speeder and races to see with Bulma as a frog hanging on to the speeder for dear life. Seeing that Goku is equal with him Frieza powers up to 50% and begins to wallop Goku, Ginyu, in Bulma's body, attemps his change technique on piccolo, but Gohan picks up Bulma the frog and throws it in the way so Ginyu is put back into a from and Bulma back into her body.
Goku, getting messed up pretty badly, powers up using the Kaio-ken times 20. But even with his large surge of power Goku is no match of Frieza at half his power. With no other options left, he begins the lengthy process of gathering a Spirit Bomb. Needing a few minutes to charge it up, Piccolo launches a suicide attack on Frieza to distract him. Even with the occasional help from Gohan and Krillin, Piccolo gets a bit wasted by a much stronger apponent. With Piccolo down, Frieza turns his glance to Goku. Since the Spirit Bomb was gathering very high up in the sky, Frieza had no idea what the heck Goku was doing.
As these events take place on Namek, Tien, Chaozu, and Yamacha are now confronted by the Ginyu Force (Except Captain Ginyu of course) on King Kai's planet. Challenging them to a battle, the two groups fight it out. Realizing that hte Ginyu were no match for them, they use their various techniques to send each down to hell.
Even after a few attacks by Frieza (who thinks Goku is mocking him), Goku maintains his pose. As the giant ball of energy is completed, Friza gets fed up with Goku's attitude. He begins to gather energy to destroy Goku, But then notices the tremendous Spirit Bomb directly above his head. Goku sends the ball of death onto Frieza, causing a huge explosion that scars the planet. After the finally beaten Frieza, they half-heartdly celebrate. However, looking up at a tall pillar of rock Krillin sees that Frieza is still alive, Firing a blast at Goku, Piccolo jumps in front of it and takes a hole in the chest, Not stopping there, Frieza uses his power to lift Krillin into the air and blow him to pieces. Completely enraged by his best friends's death, Goku's hiar begin to turn blond and his eyes to turn green. Goku has finally become a Super Saiyan.
Informing Gohan to get Piccolo, who is not dead to return to Goku's ship and leave. Not wanting to let anyone get away, Frieza moves to strike Gohan, but is halted when Goku grabs onto his hand and crushes it, Trying a variety of attackes, Frieza is unable to damage Goku in any way. As nothing else seems to work, Frieza gathers another energy ball and throws it at the ground which Goku could not stop, the energy ball went straight into the planet and disintergrated the planets core, the planet is not destroyed and Frieza gives it 5 minutes and when it does blow he can live it outer space and Goku can't.
Now able to fight to the death, Frieza charges up to full power. Goku has a little trouble with Frieza but not much. Feeling that he is superior to he purple villain, Goku says that there is no point in continuing this fight because he will win because Frieza's power level is decreasing with everyblow. Greatly insulted by this Frieza forms an energy disk and throws it at Goku who is now flying slowly away the energy disc scrapes Goku along the cheek and now Goku is forced to keep battling. Chased around by the energy disk Goku manages to keep away from it. Furstrated, Frieza forms another energy disk and sends it towards Goku aswell. Using clever tricks, Goku gets Frieza slice in half with his own attack. Now unable to fight, Frieza begs Goku for help. Unable to leave Frieza to die, he gives him a bit of energy so that he may survive the planet destruction and float in space thinking about what he has done. Frieza has other plans though and with the energy Goku gave him he lauches an attack, Angered by this Goku easily vaporizes the remaing part of his body.
With Namek about to blow itself any second, Goku frantically rushes to Frieza's ship in a hope to start it. Unable to get the ship off the ground the ship plunges into the lava. With no alternatives, Goku screams a few obscenities, Namek is blown away into dust, and Goku's whearabouts are unknown.
With the Namek balls now on Earth, Tien, Chaozu and Yamacha are all wished back to life. They try to bring Goku back to life, But Porunga informs them that Goku is not dead, and does not wish to return to Earth yet. Baffled, Goku's friends continue and use the balls to locate another habitable planet for the Nameks. New Namek is established, and the former inhabitants of Old Namek are teleported there. Yet the wait for Goku continues with no further contact from our hero.....
