The Book of Mockery

2:1

But the Laws, under the patronage of 1 and the Apes of Justice, were preserved. As Nimrod (who, verily, was a nimrod) did gather men to him, the secret Mamas and Papas did preserve the sacred teachings.
2:2

And behold, after a certain space of time the empire of man brought forth a mockery of FishGod, and men did call his name Dagon, which translated literally meaneth, "Aww, lookata little fish," but is markedly condescending.

2:3

And lo, the men did taunt Dagon, wearing the heads of fish and saying Abracadabra.

2:4

For in their imperfect bliss and inconvenient complexity, they had forsaken the sea and the Sphere of Glory.
2:5 But perfect bliss abided in FishGod.
2:6 After a certain length of time man did cease to wear the heads of Fish, for they were mightily pungent.
2:7 But man did wear puffy hats, saying "Look! I wear the head of Dagon for a hat! Ow, there goes my hip.' And so it continues even now.
2:8 Upon this utterance there was a terrible intermission of fire and smoke, and lo, many of the fishes were choked by the smoke.
2:9 But after the intermission, a man did arise who had the Laws of H carved on his spleen, and the Apes of Justice were his servants.
2:10 And men, in their ignorance, did call him "Bastard", and women, in their ignorance, did not call him, though he was Marginally Attractive.
