WB is planning on making it 2 and half hours long! Many fans are mad - they feel that 2 and a half hours is not enough time to create a good version of the movie. Save GoF is a website that has information about the protest, and a petition that you can sign. I signed it, you guys should definietly check it out!! 8/28/03 - Bad webmaster, bad webmaster! (beats self...). I'm sorry guys, I've been really lazy lately :( and extremely busy with school stuff. However, I'm going to start working on my content again, and try to update new news as frequently as I can. I'm sorry for not responding to all of your emails, but I promise I'll get to them soon. News: British director Mike Newell will take on the task of directing the 4th chapter of the Harry Potter story, the Goblet of Fire. He says "It is a pleasure to follow directors Chris Columbus and Alfonso Cuaron, who have done so much to establish the tradition of Harry Potter on film, and to work with David Heyman and Steve Kloves, whose love and respect for this material have been central to the success of this enormous undertaking." I know that there haven't been any updates for a few days, but school for me starts in about 2 weeks, and I have a lot of work to do for school (summer work sucks!). In addition, I'm starting to fill out college applications, leaving even less time in my already limited schedule to do Harry Potter related things. I'm going to continue to update news from time to time, but most major content items will need to be put off for a few weeks. I know that there haven't been any updates in the past week, but I was on vacation with my family (touring colleges and stuff). Anyway, I updated the Character Guide to include the descriptions of the Wizards & Witches section!! Thanks to Fran for all her hard work and great help! I also updated the movie news section to include casting info for the Goblet of Fire Movie! For any more news or movie tidbits, email me! Thanks a lot and keep checking back for updates!! 7/25/03 - Hey ya'll! Well today I came upon some interesting news. Dark Horizons (a movie news and rumor website, posted some interesting information. They claim that the 4th Harry Potter movie will be released in November 2005 and the 5th Harry Potter movie will be released in June 2007. I can't believe that they are going to make those two books into movies!! They are going to be like 4 hours long!! Well, anyway, today I updated the sidebar menu to include a new affiliate. I also added a mini-button to the link-us page. I'm currently working on the Character Guide, my book 5 section, and a few new ideas, so bookmark us, and check for updates!! 7/23/03 - Yo! Whatsup? Today is Daniel Radcliffe's birthday!! (he's 14). Happy Birthday, Dan! (not that he'll read this or anything...) Anyway, I'm so excited!! The hit counter is going craaazy... well there are more than yesterday :) I'm psyched. Anyway, I am hard at work advertising the site, so tell all your friends about us and help me out! Tonight I'm adding an excerpt from "The Boggart in the Wardrobe" from PoA to the excerpts page. In addition, I'm going to fix a few broken links, and add a new poll to the polls page. So, look for all that stuff. I'm still working really hard on the Character Guide, and I have gotten a few emails from people offering to help, so it should be up in no time. 7/22/03 - Hey everyone! Well I have updated a few parts of the site recently... I fixed up the Downloads section, and added a few new things, so check that out. I finallllly managed to upload movie stills to our server! We have two small, but beautiful collections... you can check out the Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets galleries. I started putting my Character Guide up, but it is nowhere near completion. I am currently reading and dissecting OoTP for excerpts, quotes, and characters. I've also got some new ideas in the works as well. Good news! We have our first affiliate! The Patronus. I'm very excited about that. Anyway, as far as news is concerned, The official site added a new game called "The Staircase Game". It's supposed to be cool, I haven't looked at it yet. 7/20/03 - I updated the sidebar menu to include all of the new areas of the site. Please note, however, that movie stills and pics are not up yet, my server is down. Anyway, I found out a bit of interesting information today: the first Prisoner of Azkaban movie trailer will be in theaters November 14th! It is set to premiere in "Looney Tunes: Back in Action. 7/15/03 - I've been working like crazy lately! I was away on vacation in Santa Fe, New Mexico, for a week, and I've been working really hard to catch up. Yesterday, I created a page dedicated to each Book in the series, but I haven't added the links to the sidebar menu yet, I'm making so many updates that I want to wait until I have them all before I start adding/deleting the menu. Check it out! 6/27/03 - My site is going under massive construction... I haven't worked on the site in about a year, and I'm going to bring it back to life. Renovating the style and content, and making some much needed news updates... check it out! 6/23/03 - Alright, i'm done, I finished it. It's awesome, awesome, awesome. I loved it. 6/21/03 Harry Potter Midnight Madness- Last night, I went to my local Border's, having reserved two copies of Book 5 (one for me and one for my sister). I walked in at 11:30 PM, pumped up full of energy (and Starbucks), ready to get my new book. I walked up to the counter and signed in at # 171. So, I sat down got comfortable and waited for them to call my number... at about 1 in the morning I finally got my hands on the new book, which is beauuuutiful, by the way... and managed to read 80 pages before I passed out. 6/20/03 - THE FIFTH BOOK IS HERE!
