Amateur Cucurbitaceous Luthiery: Making a Gourd Banjo at Home
This page chronicles my adventures in the world of home banjo building. I love the sound of gourd banjos, so I decided to build one for myself. My woodworking experience was minimal and the tools at my disposal were sometimes lacking, but the thing turned out surprisingly functional in the end. Just goes to show it doesn't take a genius to turn a vegetable into an instrument. The links on the left document my process.
