The show is held at Spring Hill Farm, 30 Wells Road, Granby, CT
Directions: At the center of Granby (Intersection of Rts, 10, 20, 189)
take 189 North. Bear right at the cemetry. Continue on 189N for 1.7 miles
Right on Wells Rd. Look for number 30 on right.
Helmets with harnesses and proper footwear must be worn at all times while mounted.

RULES AND PROCEDURES

  1. All classes except #37 and #38 will be $8.00.
  2. Entries (with no registration fee) will be accepted until Friday May 16, at 8:00 PM and MUST be paid in full.
  3. There is an registration fee of $10.00 for entries received after May 16, 2003.
  4. No refunds will be issued except when accompanied by a medical or veterinary certificate.
  5. The show committee reserves the right to cancel or combime classes with fewer than 4 entries
  6. Dogs MUST be leashed at all times.
  7. Helmets with harnesses and proper footwear must be worn at all times while mounted.
  8. Place points toward championships as folows: First, 5, Second, 3, Third, 2, and Fourth, 1.
  9. The Lead Line and Reverse Lead Line class is open to riders of all ages.
  10. Classes for the Silvercryst Challenge Trophy are open to any United States Pony Clubber. To be judges first on the flat; the top six riders then to jump a course of 8 to 10 efforts up to 2'6".
    The large Challenge Trophy may be kept by the winner for one year and the MUST be passed on to next year's winner. A small replica is the winner's to keep.
  11. The George E. Woodger Handy Hunter Challenge Trophyis an open class. Fences will be set betweern 2'6" and 3'3" with spreads up to 3 1/2'.
    The trophy will be retired when it is own by the same horse and rider combination 3 years in a row.
    The large trophy may be kept by the winner for one year and the MUST be passed on to next year's winner.
  12. Trail classes will run between 10 a. m. and 2 p.m. in a separate part of the grounds. It is the competitor's responsibility to make sure se/she does his/her course in a tinely fashion.
  13. To be eliglble for championships, entrant must participate in 3 of the classes in each division except for Beginner and Short Stirrup in which an entrant must compete in 4 of the 5 classes. The three highest scores count toward the championship. Beginner and Short Stirrup will have the four highest scores count toward the championship. Championship and Reserve Championship trophies and ribbons will be awarded in the following divisions: (Ages are as of 1-1-2002)

    Beginner: Classes 1,2,3,4 & 5. Open to any beginners. Riders are not eligible for any other classes.

    Short Stirrup: Classes 6,7, 8, 9 & 26. Ages 12 and under; may not show in any other classes except Command & Pairs. Riders not to have jumped a course over 2’6" in height.

    Maiden: Classes 10, 11, 12 & 27. Open to riders 18 years of age and under who have never won a blue ribbon in equitation in open competition.

    Junior: Classes 13, 14, 15 & 28. Ages 14 and under.**

    Senior: Classes 16, 17, 18 & 33. Ages 15 - 18.**

    Adult: Classes 19, 20, 21 & 31. Ages 19 and over.

    Suitable Hunter: Classes 22, 32, and either 29 or 34.
