3. Sarah Whitman (2) was the first daughter of our Ancestor. She was born in 1633, and died on June 11, 1718, at the age of 85 years. Sarah married Abraham Jones in about 1653. He was the son of Thomas Jones, who was a tailor of Hingham, Mass. He was born in 1629 and died January 25, 1718, at the age of 89 years.

They had 9 children: (one of whom, a son, died before his father.

2. Abraham Jones (3) born in 1659. He was made a freeman in 1680.

3. Joseph Jones (3) no birthdate, but he died in 1769 according to the Hull Church Record. He married Lydia, with no further information available.

4. Benjamin Jones (3) born in 1668. He married Elizabeth, who was also born in 1668. She died on September 13, 1748, and Benjamin died on December 27, 1748. They were both at the age of 80 years when they died.

5. Deacon John Jones (3) born in 1669. He first married Sarah, who was born in 1667. He was a deacon of the Milford Church. His name first appears on a tax list in 1703.

The town records of Milford show that John and Sarah had 3 children:
1. Lydia Jones (4) born on September 17, 1705.
2. Abraham Jones (4) born on July 2, 1708.
3. Joseph Jones (4) born on December 27, 1709.

It is presumed that John then married Abigail, and they had 5 children:
4. Cornelius Jones (4) born on April 20, 1727.
5. Abigail Jones (4) born on March 28, 1731.
6. David Jones (4) born on February 19, 1733.
7. Hannah Jones (4) born on August 20, 1736.
8. Bridget Jones (4) born on May 3, (the year was torn off and could not be read)

6. Ephraim Jones (3) He first married Mary Spear, on January 13, 1708, of Braintree, Mass. She died on November 12, 1713.
They had 2 children:
I. Ephraim Jones, Jr. (4) born on April 23, 1709. He married Mary Copeland on December 2, 1731.
Braintree records show that they had 11 children:
1. Abraham Jones (5) born on September 4, 1732.
2. Moses Jones (5) born on September 27, 1734.
3. Abraham Jones (5) born on March 13, 1738.
4. Hannah Jones (5) born on March 8, 1739.
5. Ephraim Jones Jr. (5) born on September 12, 1742. He died young.
6. John Jones (5) born on January 27, 1744.
7. Joseph Jones (5) born on February 24, 1746.\ Twins
8. Mary Jones (5) born on February 24, 1746. /
9. Ephraim Jones Jr. (5) born on September 1, 1751.
10. Hannah Jones (5) born on February 19, 1755.
11. Betty Jones (5) born on June 13, 1758.
It was noted that in Farnam's book, that where there is a first child with the same name, that maybe they had died and they named another child with the same name. There are 3 children with the same names, Abraham, Hannah and Ephraim Jr.
II. Mary Jones (4) born April 12, 1711.

7. Josiah Jones (3) He was not mentioned in his father's will.

8. Sarah Jones (3) She married Mordecai Lincoln, who was the son of Samuel Lincoln. He was from Hingham, Mass. He was born June 14, 1657. They lived in Hingham where she died before 1718. She was mentioned in the will of Abraham Jones, as deceased, and that she left 4 children.
