Family of Faith Ministries

 

The Work of the Ministries of the Church are found in 1 Cor. 9:20-25; Ja. 1:27; Matt. 25:31-45.

God has called each of us to do this work, and to be laborers together with Him, spreading the good news of the gospel and presenting a Savior who is concerned with both physical and spiritual needs.

"The harvest is truly great, but the laborers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He would send forth laborers into His harvest." (Luke 10:2)

President

 

Church School Ministry	Sis.Shirley Andrews
Builds strong mature Christians through a systematic study program where the scriptures are presented clearly and students respond with a personal faith in Christian spiritual growth.

 

Deacon Ministry	Deacon Alpha Cobin
Assists the Pastor in pastoral care of the members through regular contacts. Has the responsibility of the assisting in and administering the ordinances of the Church.

 

Deaconess Ministry	Sis Jean Winston
Assists the Deacons in pastoral care especially to the women of the Church. Assists in the administering of the ordinances of the Church.

 

Directors	Bro. Thurman Stafford
Responsible for the acquisition, maintenance and use of the church property and the accounting for the same. Also maintains proper records of all financial receipts and expenditures.

 

Hospitality Committee	Sis. Lourena Deggins
Greets visitors graciously leaving a lasting impression. Must be friendly, courteous, mannerly and have a genuine concern for all people.

 

Kingdom Kids Ministry
Provide Christian teaching and training for children ages 4 - 12, by acquainting them with God's Word and help them become more aware of God's love and purpose for them.

 

Men of Faith Ministry	Dea. Walker Ashton
This ministry encourages men to put their faith into action by ministering to the weak (elderly, shut-ins, handicapped), the orphaned (single, widowed and divorced parents with children), the prisoners and their families and to strangers (transients, homeless families, street people). Every man of the Church is urged to participate in this vital ministry to the weak, the helpless and the hurting.

 

Music Ministry	Sis Donnah Glover, Bro Steven Jasper & Min. Willie Hall
Stars Choir (Children ages 3 - 12), Echoes of Faith (Youth/Young Adults 13 - 25) and Voices of Faith (Adult and Mass Choir). Objective is to provide Praise and Worship music through inspirational songs that magnify and exalt Christ during Worship and other programs.

 

Senior Citizens Ministry	Sis Betty Farmer
Helps seniors experience fellowship within the church family through prayer, Bible study, social, recreational and community activities.

 

Singles Ministry	Sis Miltonetta Atwater
Fellowship and practical Christ centered program that offers single, divorced and widowed adults a unique study to motivate participants to confront today's challenges with God's Word.

 

Ushers Ministry	Bro Chester Burgess
Ushers are missionaries, generating a compassionate, hospitable spirit, greeting people as they enter worship, putting them in the right frame of mind, welcoming them with a pleasant smile, a warm spirit, also seeing that order is kept, distributing Bibles, fans, envelopes, etc as needed

 

Women of Faith Fellowship	Sis Addie Hall
This ministry is meant to be a fellowship and a valuable resource for blending all women of God, encouraging and affirming all who desire to grow up in Christ while ministering to both physical and spiritual needs.

 

Youth Ministry	Sis Lilaana Fortier, Sis Jacque Tout
Establish relevant activities for young people including teaching the practical application of the Word of God, and effective ways to apply Christian principles in each area of their lives.
