Gordon "Butch" Gower got this amazing shot of two eagles over GML.  Just a simple reminder of what an amazing lake we all have.  Got an shots you want posted? Send them to me here:  johnlanoue@hotmail.com
From Ginger Dean

The state of Maine asked permission to go on our island to check out the eagle nest back in the spring….collecting data on eagle eggs, as I understand it.  This is part of the email they sent:

“Here are a few photos from our climb of the bald eagle's nest on your property on Great Moose Lake.  I apologize for the delay in getting these to you, it has been a busy field season.

When we performed the climb, we did not retrieve any eggs, but did find a freshly killed duck in the nest, as the pictures show.  The adults were still flying around the nest when we did the climb, and were probably a bit annoyed that we interupted their lunch.”
