Parsons Family Reunion 2000 |
On the first Sunday in August each year the descendants of William Gaither Parsons and Julia Ann Blackburn Parsons gather to renew and strengthen family relationships. Over sixty family members and numerous friends attended this year's reunion at Blue Ridge Baptist Church on the Blue Ridge Parkway. There were several important announcements made to the family including the recognition of Ina Blackburn Watson's bequest to the senior citizens of Forsyth County noted in the Winston-Salem Journal August 5, 2000. Also noted was family member Greer Smith's coverage of the Brickyard 400 in the High Point Enterprise. We were all glad to see the many younger members of the family in attendance. It is good to know the family continues to grow larger and stronger and that all ages enjoy the reunion. |
An Important Reminder Blue Ridge Baptist Church is in the midst of a building fund campaign. It was suggested that we all remember this and make a contribution during this tax year. Our contributions will be put to good use and will be deeply appreciated. |
