						Sandau Ballet HISTORY
				Nov. 1979 - On a cool Saturday morning 50's relevant 'people-fashion designers, club entrepreneurs, hairdressers, dancers, poseurs and the 'odd'  journalist.  (all inovators with a fashion bias)  were invited to Halligans a non-descript reherarsal studio on the Hollowaw Road.  Motive ? ? Meet and motivate with five musicians and their dynamic manager - Steve  Dagger.  Spandau Ballets backbone and following was there formed. An exciting 'pop' vision for the Eighties, Spandau Ballet are Herald Angels to Londons ahead people. They have the potential to take 'ín' music messages and mirages to a parched public via the rock media but before the label and file it away press balls things up-jump a stereotype down the un-initiateds throats. December 5, 1979 - The Blitz Christmas party.  The one step ahead mob danced the night away.  The group reflected then vibes at one with the audience.  Wearing a late 40's early 50's Matt Helm / Frank Sinatra lover boy/lounge Lizard look.  Tuxedos, bows, spats and hats.  Record companies talked business,  Chris Blackwell (Island Records),  asked questions December, 22, 1979 - Chris Sullivans party at Mayhem studios, Battersea.  Chris organized an all night extravaganza, wine, women and song, Spandau Ballet were introduced to some of Chri's friends ( 600 were there ) . January, 24, 1980 - Back to the Blitz for another encore packed solid, the audience prove they play a major role in the event. S.B.'s muisc is their applause. March, 7, 1980 - The foyer of the Scala cinema, buzzed with the excitement as a 300 strong audience arrived in technicolour to participate. Passers by stopped, stood and stared at the bright yourg stars from another universe. Out to creat their own space-no time to waste.  Top hats n'tails competing with pre-raphelite beauties for attention.  "It's a gala at the Scala giggled one Oscar Wilde look-a-like. The glamour and self concious parding of Broadway premieres spectacle combined with S.
