Well, I'm Gregg.  What I want you to know about me is that I am a single gay man that has two adopted boys.  My second child moved in with Pierre and I in September of 2004, but due to a variety of complications it seems that I will not be able to finalize his adoption until March of 2006; typical bureaucratic BS, nothing special.
I was born in Muskegon, Michigan but grew up in Grandville, Michigan.  Politically, West Michigan is a very conservative region and I never felt that I emotionally or physically "fit-in" so I've spent much of my post-high school years wandering around the Mid-West living in one place or another.  In 1995 I found Minneapolis and for now have stopped wandering.
Currently I am a High School Special Ed.-EBD teacher in a local Twin Cities high school (second career choice after my first choice ran out of options) and am in my second year at Augsburg College working towards my Secondary Education Special Ed.-EBD licensure and Master's in Education (this will be my second MA).  Once completed, I plan on staying here another five or six years before moving on to a warmer climate; maybe even over-seas.
The future?  Well, I just outlined my current plans but I'm sure that they will be tweaked as I move forward.
I initially created this page simply to do it, but now it's turned into an enjoyable project that documents a very small portion of my life.  All images were taken by me unless stated otherwise.  There are more images of some people than there are of others simply because of a person's availability to be photographed.  All of my son's friends know that when they come over they are subject to be pulled aside and photographed; so far none seem to mind.
Anything else that you may want to know about me can be assumed through the various links that I include, or you may write me and ask.  I'll let you know if the answer to your question is none of your business but don't take the negative response personally; no malice is intended.
In the summer of 2004 I was very fortunate to be able to take Pierre to Europe for two weeks.  Here I am on the Piazzale Michelangelo over looking Florence with the Uffizi and Duomo behind me.  It was kind of a pilgrimage for me to visit Florence and climb the Duomo; we did.  For an outstanding documentary about the Duomo, check out the PBS DVD "The Medici: Godfathers of the Renaissance."
Visiting the statue of David was another stop on my pilgrimage.  I've seen so many images of this statue that it really was nothing that I didn't expect, but looking at the "Slave" statues along the gallery leading up to David provided an unsurpassed perspective.  Being able to stand within inches of  these great works and study each little chisle and polish mark was the real excitment.
The Roman Colosseum was another stop...
...as were the Christian catacombs (I have no idea why, I'm not a Christian)...
...and even St. Peter's Basilica!  Although, visiting St. Peter's and the Vatican Museum really gave me an interesting perspective of "Western Civilization."  The Medici DVD mentioned above also ties in well here and feeds into my cynicism towards Christianity.
