Global warming
'consensus' disrupted by an 'inconvenient cooling'
By GREGORY
J. RUMMO
THE DAILY RECORD, FEBRUARY 22,
2009
Consensus is a dangerous thing—especially when the facts are
flimsy, the data is subject to interpretation, there’s an
underlying political agenda, people can be frightened like
lemmings into supporting a cause involving government
funding, there’s a religious, cult-like component, and a
complicit and largely ignorant gaggle of mainstream
journalists is all-too willing to cooperate in the cause-celebre.

The Bush Legacy
By GREGORY
J. RUMMO
NEW JERSEY HERALD, MAY 23, 2006
What
will historians write about the war on two fronts into which
the United States was dragged as a result of a sneak
terrorist attack on that fateful day? Will they be kind to
the president who realized that in order to protect America
and the free world from a monstrous ideology having
the destruction of Jews as its centerpiece, he deemed it
necessary to not only wage a war against the nation which
orchestrated the attack but those countries which also
shared its world-dominating ambitions? And how will
historians treat those men and women who died defending the
freedoms we all hold dear?

We Are All Using Solar
Power
By GREGORY
J. RUMMO
NEW JERSEY HERALD, JUNE 3, 2007
It
sits in space, spinning on its own axis, a blazing, angry
fusion reaction hurling immense quantities of radiant energy
in all directions. At 93 million miles away, we are the
beneficiaries. Life on this planet as we know it would be
impossible without our sun. Earth would be a frozen
wasteland with a temperature only slightly above absolute
zero. Its oceans and atmosphere would be solid.

Part
of my Spanish studies includes "service learning;" a program
offered by Bergen Community College in which students can
gain experience in their field of study in a real-world
environment. What better way than to teach English to
Spanish-speaking immigrants?

NEW JERSEY HERALD, OCTOBER 27, 2006
Since
1999, I have participated in an annual event with a group of
Peruvian missionaries that has come to be known as an "Andes
Trek." We walk for days to bring hope and joy to remote
Quechua villages, some only accessible by narrow footpaths
carved into the sides of the steep mountains.
