"2001: A Space Odyssey" Spoke To The Need To Protect The Unborn"
By GREGORY J. RUMMO
THE DAILY RECORD, JAN 1, 2001
Remember  “2001 A Space Odyssey” by Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clark? This movie premiered 33 years ago in 1968 and was based on a novel by Clarke entitled “The Sentinel.” Many film critics like Roger Ebert gushed about the film when it first appeared. “The genius is not in how much Stanley Kubrick does in ‘2001: A Space Odyssey,’ but in how little,” he wrote.  Ebert was right, and despite the heavy overtones of evolution in the movie, there is still a thread of truth from beginning to end. I wonder if Ebert or the movie’s creators realized it themselves.  Interested to read my take on it?  You can in my first column of the new millennium. Go to article

"It is a waste of time to debate questions [of sexuality], long ago settled in the Bible. And by doing so, the Church ignores Jesus' instructions on the mission of all believers: evangelism and discipleship.”
