"2001:
A Space Odyssey" Spoke To The Need To Protect The
Unborn"

THE DAILY RECORD, JAN

Remember “2001 A Space Odyssey” by Stanley Kubrick
and Arthur C. Clark? This movie premiered 33 years ago in 1968
and was based on a novel by Clarke entitled “The Sentinel.”
Many film critics like Roger Ebert gushed about the film when
it first appeared. “The genius is not in how much Stanley
Kubrick does in ‘2001: A Space Odyssey,’ but in how
little,” he wrote. Ebert was right, and despite the
heavy overtones of evolution in the movie, there is still a
thread of truth from beginning to end. I wonder if Ebert or
the movie’s creators realized it themselves.
