Hostage Situation
Mike W. Barr – writer
SD 43256.9
Page 1 Captain K’Leht
of the Klingon bird of prey Khitomer’s Revenge has docked at DS 9 with
a medical emergency concerning a prisoner they are returning to the Klingon
homeworld Qo’noS for trial. The traitorous dog Mard.
Page 2 a coward who
would prefer HoH’egh, to commit suicide, to Klingon justice will hardly
be a problem for Captain K’Leht’s men. Mard is bandaged around the chest,
self inflicted wounds to be treated before return to Qo’noS for trial and
his summary execution.
Klingon justice is
renowned throughout the galaxy.
Odo – The maxim –
Klingon justice is to justice as Klingon music is to music.
Mard’s wrist bonds
connected to upper arm bands. Open, he whuds one guard, takes other guard’s
weapon and shoots him. Odo morphs into large Vulcan sehlat, possesses a
pronounced resistance to effects of Klingon disruptors. Knocks Mard out
with one paw swipe.
Mard taken to Infirmary.
Mard faking unconsciousness,
grabs Bashir.
Back away humans,
or you will see the color of his blood!
Captain K’Leht – One
of your own is taken hostage and you call a meeting? Klingon hostage techniques
dictate the immediate execution of the terrorists and hostages.
Captain K’Leht in
long pocket robe and wide collar cape.
Mard – Humans! I will
not return to captivity! If I perish, I will take your doctor with me!
Infirmary flooded
with gas. Sterile field purifies it.
Mard – Your potions
are useless! Free me, or your physician will be beyond healing!
Captain K’Leht – Humans!
You let concern for one life disrupt this entire station! Let your physician
die a hero’s death.
Kira taps Khitomer’s
Revenge’s computer banks.
Sisko – Mard isn’t
the only one who’s been trying to manipulate us! I was suspicious! Mard’s
chains weren’t even locked when he was brought on board! And how did a
Klingon know how to operate Fed medical consoles?
Captain K’Leht – Mard
is resourceful.
Sisko – Mard is being
set up to be killed! You slipped him the information he needed, probably
through intermediaries who claimed they’d help him escape! You wanted him
dead, without a trial! Because two of Mard’s victims were your sister and
her husband. If Mard doesn’t make it to Qo’noS alive I’ll see to it that
the Klingon High Command knows everything I do.
Bashir pushes Mard
into energy screen, knocking him out and freeing himself.

But the venture had its good side, too. Because you ended up restoring

there is that.

1 The Klingon vor’cha
class ship K’tang is preparing to depart DS 9 on a scientific mission in
the Gamma Quad. After receiving their remaining personnel transfers, with
the exception of the usual problems accompanying a Klingon visit, all is
quiet on the station. Bird of pray also leaving DS 9
2 Kaleth, crewman
on K’tang, gold sash over right shoulder, battled for control of the Antedian
sector, endlessly tells the story.
I waste my words on
you. What would a Ferengi know of honor, anyway?
When one of the Klingon
s found out Kira was in the Bajoran resistance, he challenged her to kaplok
in the holosuite. Curzon enjoyed a little kaplok once in a while.
Captain Krek, of the
K’tang reports to Gowron from sector G17. we have beamed an expedition
to Keltara and have resupplied on Caldonia 3. proceeding into an area known
by the natives as the abyss, a sector in which several starships have reportedly
disappeared. We go in search of battle and knowledge. End report.

Part One: For the
glory of the Empire
Mark A. Altman – writer
June 1994
Three vor-cha class
cruisers and two birds of prey surround DS 9.
5 Captain Kol of the
destroyer ‘AvwI. His fleet is here to protect Sisko and his people in the
war with the Cardassians. DS 9 is the most strategic post. The cruiser
K’tang has been missing for 5 days. Their investigation has shown it to
be destroyed in an unprovoked attack by the Cardassians. Klingons have
little doubt the Cardassians took the K’tang by surprise or else we would
have surely been victorious. As of today a declaration of war exists between
the Klingon Empire and Cardassia. We would never turn our back on our friends
in the Federation, as we know you would never turn your back on your Klingon
allies. together, we will be victorious in this glorious war.
Kol compliments Sisko
on nice uniform, in baseball uniform from holosuite.
Kira – We know how
vicious the Cardassians are, but they’d never risk a conflict with the
Klingons.
Quark’s business is
booming with all the Klingons on the station. Odo is stretched to the limit
on manpower keeping the Klingons in line.
Starfleet Admiral
Kernwill has DS 9 send runabout Orinoco for Betazoid negotiator Tal Berel,
retired on Baridia 2.
Sisko - The Klingons
are chomping at the bit to go to war. The only thing that’s going to dissuade
them is hard evidence that refutes their claim of a Cardassian attack.
If there’s a war everything we’ve built in the last three decades could
be destroyed.
Jadzia – Wars are
cyclical. Just when you think lasting peace is within your grasp, there’s
always something or someone that destroys it. I’ve seen it happen too many
times.
Sisko send Jadzia
and Bashir to find flight recorder.
There are a lot of
Klingon and Cardassian ship out there with some very nervous crewmembers
onboard.
Captain Kol assigns
Koleth to accompany Jadzia and Bashir. Without checking with Sisko.
14 Quark’s advertisement,
Your Home away from Home, mirrored in Klingon script.
Cardassians, Klingons
and Bajorans are a very combustible mixture.
Kotan Marak and Gul
Dukat come to negotiate for Cardassia.
17 K’tang’s last known
coordinates was an ice planet in the Lapideres sector. Klingons call it
Keltara, the frozen death. Klingons have trained their warriors there since
the wormhole was discovered.
Koleth - We prefer
to think of it as what you would call shore leave.
After the last Klingon
bar brawl Odo was running out of room in the brig, had to release other
prisoners.
The Klingons just
destroyed another holosuite, Quark bills it to their ship as food supplies.
19 The captain of
the Devoris asked for another dabo girl
Kol – I do not even
know why we are in the same room as this ptak. Honor. We must regain the
lost honor of our fallen comrades and destroy those who have none.
Kotan Marak – We have
no quarrel with the Klingon people.

runabout Orinoco,
Tal Berel, destroyed.
Kol – The Cardassians
must pay for their barbarianism. The destruction of the K’tang and the
destruction of Tal Berel’s ship is all the proof I need. The time for talk
is over. Sisko, I am no longer asking for your support. I am telling you,
the empire demands your obedience.
Aide helps Kol on

Koleth does not require
protection form the cold.
Huge purple furred
beasts on Keltara. Klingons wear fur capes.
Humans, why do you
interrupt our rest leave?
To Klingons, their
rest leave is a very sacred experience. Say the wrong thing and they’re
liable to hand your tongue to you on a stick.
Commander in charge
of 10 Klingon men left on Keltara. They have all served together in battle.
Commander will vouch for them personally. They would not betray him or
Captain Krek of the K’Tang.
Klingons roast large
skinned animal on spit over fire.
Commander – Cardassians?
They haven’t the stomach for battle with Klingons. they hunt sheep, not
wolves.
Koleth – One of our
secret listening posts in the Gamma Quadrant picked up the K’Tang’s distress
beacon. They said it was Cardassians who attacked them and that their shields
and weapons systems had been sabotaged. Whoever did this to the K’Tang
has no honor. They will die, badly.
8 Garok and Katon,
scouting ahead on Kaltara.
Krek didn’t file a
flight plan.
Caldonia 3, the only
place to find supplies and information in the Gamma Quadrant. A pretty
rough place. that’s probably what attracted the Klingons there. What better
place to look for battle than on a world of cut-throats and mercenaries.
Admiral Kernwill makes
Sisko negotiator, orders Enterprise, three days away at maximum warp, to
head for DS 9.
Koleth meditates,
sitting on floor legs crossed. Preparing for battle.
Bashir – I’ve never
really been in a space battle
Koleth – I pity you
then.
Bashir – I don’t understand
you Klingons. I’m a healer. I have to try and fix what you break during
your glorious battles. It doesn’t surprise me that a Klingon embraces death
in battle. You’ve never had to look into the face of those who live. The
ones bleeding, holding on to life. To me, what’s glorious are those who
hold onto life, who cling to the hope of survival.
Koleth – That is because
you are human. You could not understand.
Klingons brawl with
Cardassians outside replimat on DS 9, Kira breaks it up.
We will avenge the
K’tang. You Cardassians will be the first to die, but not the last.
Ferengi Zemel, with
Andorian, in tavern on Caldonia 3, gives Jadzia address of someone, Mavok
Bev Nareen, who might know where Klingons were going. A Klingon ship stopped
to resupply here several days ago. Captain came to Mavok Bev Nareen for
what he called a non-essential, red dancing girl. Bev provided him with
one for his trip to the abyss. He and several of his men spent a few hours
in town and then returned to their ship. Bev sold them some Romulan ale.
They were fools to go to the Abyss, all ships are destroyed there.

Koleth – Cardassians
have no honor and the Klingon people will show them no mercy.
Dax – The K’tang was
a k’tinga class vessel. It’s unlikely even a Galor class Cardassians warship
would destroy one so easily.
Koleth – I do not
know how or why they did what they did nor do I care. I only know that
the Cardassians attacked our ship without warning or provocation and that
they will pay for their misdeed.

The probe data was

Dukat planning retaking
of Bajor – We must be ready to act quickly when battle comes. Unlike the
Federation, the Klingons are cunning adversaries, swift, barbarous, deadly.
The Klingons are preparing their offensive against us. We must be ready
to seize the moment when it comes. If the Klingons refuse to officially
withdraw their declaration of war within the next 10 hours Dukat is authorized
to use military force against the Klingon ships in this quadrant and Bajor
and the Fed if they try to stand in the way.

The Romulans separate
Koleth from Jadzia and Bashir.
Koleth – Do not worry,
Lieutenant, I will die with honor.
Jadzia – Don’t give
the Romulans any reason to kill you, Koleth, that’s an order.
Commander T’alar,
Romulan – Such concern for a Klingon is unbecoming. Don’t you remember
what they did to your people at Donatu 5?
Romulans incriminate
the Cardassians in destruction of Klingon vessel, the Klingons would go
to war, allowing Romulans to gain a foothold in the Gamma Quadrant.
Dax remembers decades
ago when the Romulans were an honorable people, before they let fear and
paranoia of other races change them into a xenophobic band of jingoists.
Male Dax pervious
host escorted Commodore of USS Constellation, to his court martial, rescued
after crash near Neural Zone, by Romulan Captain named Pakel. Acted out
of personal integrity before isolationism led to Romulans becoming ruled
by dark emotions instead of intellect, misled by leaders who coveted power
and not peace.
Maybe Kira’s friend
s the Klingons will let her use their mind-sifter on smuggler Captain Maura.
One of Romulans operatives
on DS 9 went aboard and disabled some of K’tang’s key systems when
they were docked there. The woman the K’tang brought aboard at Caldonia
was also one of Commander T’alar’s people and she finished the job. Once
the ship’s sensors and weapons systems disabled, it was easy to create
the illusion that the Klingons were being attacked by a Cardassian vessel.
A cloaked Romulan warbird had followed the K’Tang, then destroyed the ship
after the Klingons launched their distress buoy with a record of a Cardassian
attack.
There were over 200
Klingons aboard the K’tang.
Kol suffers from limp

Kol finds out about
Cardassian fleet massing in the Mutara Sector. These negotiations are over.
We will not allow you to covertly strike when our backs are turned as you
did against the K’Tang.
Sisko has DS 9 runabouts
take up positions around Cardassian ship, in line of fire between Klingon
ship.
Kol – What are you
doing, Sisko? Are you allying yourself with these treacherous ptak.

Bashir rescues him. Runabout heads for wormhole chased by Romulan warbird.
Additional Klingon
ships enter the Bajoran sector.
23 what the duplock
Commander, this is
Koleth. The Klingon people are again the victims of Romulan duplicity.
It is they who destroyed the K’tang, not the Cardassians.
Kol to all ships in
the Klingon attack force, target the warbird and fire.
Fwoooooom! Boooomm.
Cease fire, we’ve
destroyed the enemy. The honor of the K’Tang us avenged.
Dukat demands a formal
apology from the highest levels of the Klingon government.
Sisko doubts he’s
going to get it. They’re a stubborn people even when they’re wrong. Especially
when they’re wrong. Dukat has more in common with the Klingons than he
would like to believe.

Vor-cha class cruiser
A’vwI
Report to Gowron.
Captain Kol reporting. We are continuing to scout planets in the Gamma
Quadrant for colonization and military use. We are leaving sector G-3 for
G-4.
Kol – Stars, stars
and more stars. I have no use for such missions.
Koleth - Why does
the High Council dishonor us by assigning the flagship to traverse these
empty distant reaches of the galaxy?
5 Imperial Adjunct
Katha – Your lot is not to ask why. It is to follow orders. I am not bound
by your orders, or have you forgotten this already? Your understanding
is not requested, nor required. I am here by order of Gowron and here I
will stay until I am asked to leave by Gowron.
Kol – This is my ship.
I command here.
Katha - You
should have thought of that before you stumbled onto Shelvar 6 and were
almost killed by the villagers who thought you were mercenaries sent by
the Dominion.
Kol – We made our
intent clear.
Katha – Not clear
enough. Kelvar and Komar are dead. need I remind you about the warp speed
limitations imposed by the Federation, Captain?
Kol – You know, Katha,
if nothing else I so enjoy your raucous sense of humor.
Kol responds to Fed
Gakora Colony distress call. Multiple landing parties. Set disruptors to
kill. Shoot anything that moves.
Katha – We don’t know
what we’re dealing with here captain. We need prisoners.
Kol – I don’t.
Koleth – I could try
to treat injured human, but his injuries are very severe and I don’t know
Earther anatomy very well.
I am Captain Kol of
the Klingon cruiser A’vwI. What can you tell me about the attack on this
colony? That’s not very helpful. Can you tell us anything else, friend.
Prepare all the men to return to the ship after they search the camp for
survivors. Keep me updated.
Katha – And you will
keep me informed as well, Lieutenant.
Put injured human
Kevin Chiles, sole survivor, in cryostasis aboard the ship and take him
to DS 9.
The A’vwI will be
returning to the Gamma Quadrant within the hour.
Kol – My help is needed.
In the Gamma Quadrant. I’m going to find those who committed this atrocity
against your civilian colony and kill them.
Sisko – We need to
find out what happened before we go off with disruptors blazing.
Kol – That may be
the human way, the Starfleet way, it is not the Klingon way.
Sisko – I can put
pressure on the Federation to convince Gowron to order you to remain here.
Kol – By the time
that transmission reaches the High Council, I’ll be long gone.
Bashir in sickbay
with Koleth and Katha – Care to join me on the Promenade fro some gagh?
Our Klingon chef is just extraordinary. Homemade, not replicated, you know.
Lt. Koleth – I am
glad we have this time to speak alone. I never extended my gratitude to
you for what you did when we were captured by the Romulans.
Bashir – I’d like
to ask you about Katha’s outfit. Who’s her tailor?
Katha to Sisko –It
is impossible to make Kol understand the delicacy of this situation. Battle
is foremost in his mind. The reason the Empire assigned Imperial Adjuncts
to all our ships in the Gamma Quadrant is to avoid inadvertently inciting
misunderstandings with new alien races in first contact situations. There
are times when not only diplomacy fails, but disruptor banks as well.
Starfleet has requested
that Sisko join Klingons for mission.
Koloth and Bashir
have drinks upper level of Quark’s
Koleth – I was very
dismissive of your words, once. When we talked of honor, of death. You
said to me honor was in surviving, not in dying. I’ll slit your throat
if you repeat this, but when the Romulans were going to kill me, I had
many regrets. I am shamed by such thoughts.
Bashir – You’ll have
other chances to die, in battle if that is your destiny. For now, be happy
to be alive.
Kol to Koleth, you
are requested to return to the ship immediately.
Koleth touches communicator
midway on his sash.
Koleth – Acknowledged.
Just know this, Bashir, you saved my life. I have an unpaid debt to you
for both your words and deeds.
Katha to A’vwI – cho
‘chu.
Kol instructs Koleth
– You will tell the Federation nothing I don’t’ want them to know. Is that
understood?
Sisko and Jadzia beam
aboard. Koleth shows them along hall to quarters. Hard bunks.
Dinner will be served
in the main dining hall at 16:00. if you are late you will be hungry.
Kol was embarrassed
by the incident with the Cardassians. Even though it was revealed the Romulans
were behind the destruction of the K’tang, ultimately it was he who was
dishonored by his rush to judgment. Why else would the Council have their
flagship out mapping new star systems? He’s looking at this mission as
a chance to restore his lost honor. Kol may have no intention of coming
back from the Gamma Quadrant.
Main dining hall –
long rolls of tables. Chef with large purple pot of gagh at serving counter.
Small purple bowls for gagh
Kol – This is exactly
the opportunity we’ve been looking for, my friend. We will find the race
that did this, and we will teach them to fear the word Klingon.
Koleth – We do not
know who or what our enemies will be, or if they are enemies at all.
Kol – I am surprised
to hear you speak this way, you who have the most of all to gain in this.
you were dishonored by those Romulan ptak. It took a human to save you.
Surely you need redemption in the eyes of our superiors even more than
I.
Cook – Do you want
it dead, human, or alive?
Jadzia – I always
prefer my gagh alive, don’t you, Benjamin? I’ve tasted better gagh on the
Ferengi homeworld.
Cook – Then why don’t
you go back there?
Jadzia – Look, it’s
barely moving. They just don’t serve gagh like they used to.
Captain Kol has silver
sash, same color as uniform, Koleth has gold sash.
Ship under attack
by inferior force of many small ships. Sisko urges attempt communication
before opening fire.
Kol – I don’t think
so, they’ve attacked my vessel.
Katha – Alien vessels,
this is the Klingon destroyer A’vwI. We mean you no harm. But our ship
is quite capable of defending itself, if necessary.
Kol could have the
Imperial Adjunct thrown in the brig for mutiny, direct violation of his
orders.
Koleth sits at station
ahead and to right of Captain’s chair. Reports hail, receives navigational
heading, sets course.
Kol – Proceed on course.
Report to Gowron.
Kol reporting. We have reached the world of the aggressors call homeworld
and are preparing to beam down to meet with their leader, Malek.
High Majesty Malek
of Myvock. Arrests Sisko and Jadzia, plans to execute them.
Malek – It was the
Klingons who alerted us to their treachery. How you once had an alliance
which crumbled due to their godless untruthfulness.
Kol – An alliance
still exists with their people. Their veins do not carry the blood of a
warrior race, but in their hearts lies honor.
Katha – Forgive this
warrior for his impudence, but these humans are his friends
The planet Gakora
considered sacred ground by the Myvock. Fed colony was told, they disobeyed.
Military leader Hernai
was with two Klingon women, Lursa and B’Etor, went through Gakora colony
after attack.
Kol touches communicator
midpoint on sash. Katha doesn’t have a sash.
Kol – I will not be
dishonored by allowing them to execute Federation personnel.
Katha – Kol, there’s
more here at stake than you know.
29 Katha’s assignment
to this ship as an Imperial Adjunct is a cover for her real mission. I
am a member of the Q’uonek. She has been assigned by Gowron himself to
investigate intelligence reports that Lursa and B’Etor have been in the
Gamma Quadrant seeking to obtain large mineral deposits. There is no bilitrium
in this sector of the Gamma Quadrant, but Klingons feel the Duras sisters
could be looking for something that could be used in an even more powerful
weapon.
Bashir and O’Brien
meet up with Lursa and B’Etor on Gakora.
B’Etor – Bashir’s
as cute as I remember.
Sisko, Kol and Katha
beam in on Malek in Jacuzzi.
Sisko – I thought
you Klingons always preferred the direct approach.
Katha to Malek – You
have been deceived by enemies of the Klingon people. We believe that those
who covet the resources of your holy planet lied about the humans’ motives
so that they could secretly mine the planet’s resources.
A runabout wouldn’t
be able to defend itself against a bird-of-prey

Katha – Our priority

Koleth – It’s too

Kol has been wounded,
Koleth is dead. Katha is assuming command.
Impossible to pursue
the bird of prey, they have cloaked.
Lursa and B’Etor offered
Hernai their superior technology in exchange for mining rights, with their
weapons the Myvock could protect themselves.
Kol comes to sit with
Bashir, drinking something green at upper level Quark’s. Bashir’s friend
died today, with honor.
Katha steps out with

While in the Gamma

Odo's interest. Quark's new business partner Klag is a known weapons smuggler.
Odo believes their joint venture is a front set up to conceal Cardassian
weapons they are receiving while in Gamma Quad. Klag's ship has a sizeable
amount of explosives on it. just like a Klingon, he doesn't even bother
to hide the weapons. Stacked cargo containers with Klingon symbol on them.
Klag objects to Odo confiscating ship and cargo, attacks Odo, stunned and
taken into custody. O'Brien pilots craft into group of asteroids, exploding

energies in creating the peace between Fed and Klingons. Ayelborne is all
that is left. His time grows short on this plane of existence. One last

Nog – You should have
a sense of humor, Klingon! Maybe you wouldn’t look so angry all the time.
Gronn – There is a
time for humor and there is a time for respect. Do they not teach you this
in your Federation Academy?
Aide – Gronn, a diplomat’s
tongue would not strike so carelessly at another.
Ferengi1 on Ferenginar
– I have a wide variety of weapons to choose from.
Ferengi2 – A variety
perhaps, but what my friend cannot deliver is quality and authenticity.
I can get directly from Capella IV.
Gronn to Nog – your
people don’t accept your decision to join Starfleet. I can empathize. I
know that when one goes against the will of his people’s culture, his way
is often more difficult. Does the name Worf mean anything to you? If all
you care to do is whine like a wounded targ, then I will show myself around.
A targ is a furry,
warthog-like Klingon animal.
Gronn would like to
see Ferenginar’s combat facilities. Due to the diplomatic nature of my
business, I am merely interested in seeing the facilities, not partaking
in any practice.
Gronn – Combat brings
you honor, honor strengthens spirit.
Nog – Without profit
a Ferengi has nothing
Gronn – without honor,
a Klingon has nothing. I am interested in tasting a Ferengi dish. I’ve
heard that yak-ja is a favorite here on your homeworld. [wormy fingerfood]
Gronn – I would love
the opportunity to try one of your customary games. I know the risks of
gambling, and I’m willing to take them. Besides, it’s all part of experiencing
the Ferengi culture. I have gambled before. Trust a Ferengi? Isn’t your
whole culture based on deceit?
15 Gronn, down to
his last few credits, offers necklace, not just an heirloom, this is a
pure cut ruby from the Delkar mining planet. Although that planet is rich
in many stones, the ruby supply was stripped years ago. I will bet this
along with my last credits.
If Gronn loses everything
the Klingons and Ferengi will never have an alliance.
Gronn before rolling
– May the gods be kind to me as well.
Gronn – Looks like
my numbers are favored by fate. That head shield shall melt into a nice
dagger tip.
Gronn – I only made
them believe it was of value. That wasn’t a Delkarian ruby. It was a simple
jewel I found during a skirmish when I was younger. I think I now understand
the way Ferengis think. Hahaha.
Nog – Gek would in
no way jeopardize any future possibilities of future opportunities with
the Klingons. certainly when Gronn brings news of your gambling establishment’s
challenging and honest reputation, I wouldn’t be surprised if a battlecrusier
or two might stop by to try their luck as well
Gronn knows the Ferengi
Rules of Acquision, pretty well
Nog – I made a friend

Jadzia – Blood wine
may have been a favorite of Curzon’s but I never acquired a taste for it.
Kor went to see the
monuments to Kang and Koloth this morning. Dedication ceremony day after
tomorrow.
Jadzia aware there
are many Klingons who resent her presence at this ceremony, let alone her
involvement with the dedication.
Kor – It is unusual
for a Klingon warrior to live beyond a century. Such a long life has allowed
me to meet many brave and noble souls, both within and beyond the empire,
through combat and friendship. Many are enemies, few are friends
7 Kor, poisoned, taken

Infirmary interior

Who would dare poison
a Klingon? There would be no honor in such a death.
Jadzia got Kor to
infirmary quickly and they extracted all the poison.
Poison Telebnoi sal,
an odorless, colorless, tasteless, derived from a plant that grows only
in the Daeus system. Daeus IV is where Kang found the abandoned wife of
the Albino almost 9 years ago.
The Albino told granddaughter
Chernoth that the Trill Curzon liked bloodwine. Two more elderly males
abduct Chernoth.
Chernoth has heard
of Toral, and his family. Just what would the disgraced whelp of Duras
want with me?
Toral – As a Duras
I still have friends in high places. I know who you are and why you are
on Qo’noS. I had you brought here because your thirst for vengeance nearly
jeopardized some of my own arrangements. I know that the legendary Kor
and the Trill, Dax, had a hand in killing your grandfather.
Kang and Koloth died
in the final battle and your vengeance with them was denied you.
Their memories are
to be honored tomorrow with the quv van je tay.
Mot of the High Council
will be there, including Gowron and even Kahless himself is planning to
attend.
Chernoth – Many of
your enemies would be killed.
Toral – As would yours!
I offer you the pleasure of planting the bomb yourself. An opportunity
for a swift and final revenge.
11 Kenosch, aide to
Toral.
Mrach, young aide
to Toral.
Toral - The public
will be screaming for the blood of the one responsible. Think how grateful
they will be when I toss them Chernoth’s head from the steps of the vas’a’
Mrach was originally
meant to plant the bomb.
Kang kept a complete
record of his search for the Albino, right up to reunion on DS 9. Kor lets
Jadzia access Kang’s personal files. The discarded wife Kang found on Daeus
IV had a number of children and grandchildren who lived with her occasionally,
most moved to other worlds. None kept in contact with Albino after he left
except one granddaughter named Chernoth.
Chernoth kept her
Grandmother’s home on Daeus IV.
A woman paid to have
a case of blood wine delivered to Kor the day before Jadzia arrived, someone
remembers her description.

The dedication will

Gowron – Let us now
show respect to he who has shaped our destiny as he joins us in this ceremony
of honor and remembrance. Our lord and Emperor, the mighty Kahless.
Kahless – As is our
way, on this day of remembrance we come not to mourn our dead, for they
have fallen in battle, nor do we come to send them on to Sto-Vo-Kor for
we know they are already there. We come to honor Kang and Koloth. we pledge
that their memories, their battles, their victories shall be handed down
through the generations, fuelling the fire that burns in the heart of every
Klingon, lighting the path to glory. We dedicate these monuments today
to seal this pledge. Metal and stone, they shall stand long after we have
joined our friends in Sto-Vo-Kor, least those who remain forget.
There is no honor
in so many senseless deaths
Chernoth – I care
nothing for honor, only revenge. I don’t care if I live or die! I shall
have my revenge!
