(No, that's NOT Danno in the red suit!!) The "couch potatoes" are three retired racing greyhounds... from left, Odie, Trailways, and Dempsey. They live in Santa Cruz, CA with their human and 2 cats. The "Couch Potatoes" were adopted through Greyhound Pets of America/Maryland chapter. GPA/MD can be reached at 1-800-600-8607 for more information. "Trailways" is a red brindle male who raced as "Smooth Jon Rand" and was retired in May of 1994. Sadly, Trails crossed to the Bridge on October 24, 2002. "Dempsey" is a 13 year old male champagne fawn, who raced as "Aljo Whisper Ace" and retired in November 1994. Dempsey left us to be with his brothers on September 30, 2004. "Odie" was Dempsey's actual brother (yup, same litter!). He's a red fawn who raced as "Aljo Whisper Jim" and was retired in June of 1996. Odie left us on July 1, 2004 to run at the Bridge with Trails. Please view all the pages to see the stories of these wonderful greyhounds... thanks!! |
