The men that you will read about here were most, if not all Southern Sympathizers. Most were born in the 1850s and became men during the Civil War. Some fought in the war while other's were to young. Most of these men were from hard working upstanding families and some were quite wealthy but lost all or most of their possessions during the war. Some of these young men held a grudge after the war's end and some had reasons to do so. Their homes had been burned, crops destroyed and family members killed.
Looking for a way to get revenge for their losses they turned to crime and became "The Outlaw's." |
