Avoiding the request for a password-protected web page
Yes, you can bypass the ID/password dialog box on a website. Type
http://userid:password@www.sitename.com
in the Location box.
You can also create a bookmark with this modified URL.
You can modify this for security. Just set the user ID, after which you'll be prompted for only a password. Here's how. Type
http://userid@www.sitename.com
If you want to set this on your system, open Bookmarks [Ctrl-B], choose Item, Insert Bookmark. Fill in the name and URL, then click OK.
To modify it, right-click on the bookmark and choose Properties. Make the changes and click OK.
