Classification
Non-Traditional Methods

There are any number of non-traditional methods of classification or of shelving books or materials in the library. All of them are okay or acceptable if they work in your library.

My daughters once excitedly told me about a store that grouped its clothes by color. All the red clothes are in one rack. Walk a little bit to a gray rack. Walk a little further and come to the black rack, and so on.

The store was apparently filled with customers, so it works. If it works then go ahead and use. There is no reason not to.

Where do you want to go now?
