Psychologists sometimes wax exuberant when recommending fellow professionals. They may use expressions like, "that counselor saves souls and changes people's lives."
Clients see right through those expressions. Their raised eyebrows and rolling eyes should be an indication that you have "protested too much."
Tame your rhetoric when recommending a fellow practitioner. It may go a long way in preserving and protecting your own image.
