2. evidence suggestions come from my own experience and may or may not be suitable for your situation... but I hope they will give you something to start from.
Element 8a: Identify the needs and wishes of Guides and staff
(suggested methods of assessment: record)

* notes from staff meeting of staff wishes
* list of staff ideas for programme activities
* list of Guides' ideas for programme activities
* recording of programme discussion with Guides &/or staff
* list of activities available at venue, signed by guide &/or staff member to say they were told about them!
* record of results of any votes by participants on activities
* sample questionnaire on what girls want to get out of the event


Element 8b: Identify a balance of programme activities within the available budget
(suggested methods of assessment: question, discussion, witness statement)

* copy of event budget
* note of any individual issues re. activities (disabilities, etc.)
* notes of other constraints on activities??
* results of participant vote on activities
* notes from planning meeting with decision on activities

Element 8c: Plan a flexible programme which meets Guides’ and staff needs
(suggested methods of assessment: question, discussion, record)

* daily programme, maybe from event notice board
* list of activities with time required for each
* checklist of activities for equal opportunities??
* note of basic daily programme before activities are decided
* notes of alternatives for bad weather, concellations, illness...


Element 8d: Organise training for all Guides
(suggested methods of assessment: record, question, discussion)

* note from meeting with adviser re your personal training needs
* notes / certificates of attendance at any relevant trainings
* notes of training info (books, internet etc.) you have read
* notes on or recording of participant discussion on skills & knowledge
* notes of training needs of participants
* weekly programme if you included relevant training in it
* notes of how and on what you (or others) trained the girls
* notes of training opportunities, signed by staff to say they saw them.
Note: most Counties provide adult training.  If this is not available or accessible request specific help from the local Adviser

Element 8e: Co-ordinate the programme and activities as planned
(suggested methods of assessment: observation - at the event the Assessor will observe the programme in action)

* lists of which guides do which activities when, maybe from event noticeboard
* note of any adaptations for needs of individuals
* copies of instructors' qualifications??
* detailed timetable for event including staff breaks, guides' free time
Note: The Candidate can delegate preparation and running of activities / section programme.
