Circle belly laugh Get one person to lie flat on the floor with their arms by their sides. Get the next person to lie with their head on the first person’s stomach, and do this with everyone until you have a circle of people, each with their head on someone else’s stomach. Then choose someone to start laughing (assuming nobody already is!). Once the stomach on which your head is resting starts jumping up and down with laughter, join in… don’t worry if they jump the gun! Throw a smile Sit everyone in a circle. The leader smiles, then wipes her hand across her face as if removing the smile. Once the hand is away from her face the smile is gone. She throws it across the circle to someone else, who “pastes” the smile onto their own face, before removing it and throwing it to someone else. Any player giggling or smiling out of turn loses a “life”. Poor Pussy The traditional party game. One girl is chosen, and she pretends to be a cat, nuzzling people, purring etc. The person she does this to must keep saying “poor pussy” without laughing. The cat can move to anyone else she chooses at any time. Copycat Players sit in a circle and one starts the game by slowly and solemnly doing something to the person on her right. This might be poking her elbow, tugging on her earlobe, etc. That person then passes the action on to the next person and so on. Anyone who giggles, laughs or smiles while they are performing or receiving the action is out or loses a life Count your blessings In groups, get girls to list their top 20 (or 100 – how much time do you have?) blessings, or things which make them happy. For example they might think of their friends, their health or even the summer. Then bring the groups together and see which came up most often. |
