Let them shout!

The Five Zones

Home
Sometimes shouting is a great stress reliever, but we feel we’re not allowed.  If it’s not going to upset the neighbours let your guides have a yell...

Message passing
Get them into pairs, and then the 2 girls from each pair stand at opposite ends of the hall.  Give all the girls at one end (one from each pair) a 10 word message.  Once you shout “go” they all have to communicate their message to their partner at the other end.

Teamwork
Use your old Christmas cards for this one!  Cut each card in half and keep half of each card, scattering the other halves on the floor.  Deal out "your" halves between the patrols.  One member of each patrol is blindfolded - they are the only one allowed to leave their patrol corner.  The others should shout directions to her so she can pick up cards that match the ones the patrol has.  She may only pick up one card each time she leaves the patrol corner.  Make sure you warn the blindfolded people to go slowly since she won't be the only blindfolded person crawling or staggering round the floor!

Leadership
Get all of the patrols to stand at one end of the hall, in groups, and the patrol leaders at the other.  Give each patrol leader a list of objects (each list should be different) that the patrols will be able to find (eg. a shoe, a pen, something orange).  The PLs (all at the same time) shout to their patrol what they want... but they mustn't use the word on the card.  The patrol can ask questions but neither the PL nor the rest of the patrol must leave their end of the hall.  Once the patrol have worked out what the object is they put it in front of them, then go on to the next object.  See which patrol has identified and found the most objects after a set time.

Hints
- Bring your earplugs
- Don't forget to arrange a signal to shut them up again, you won't be able to shout over them!
