Sandra's Guide Pages As first aider at a residential event you must keep some sort of record of incidents and treatment given. This is often known as the "accident book". I find it is convenient to include regular medications in here, since otherwise I forget which I've given and which I haven't! If there are a lot of girls on medications it can be helpful to have a separate "medications" record with tickboxes to make sure you don't forget anyone! There are many different ways of keeping the treatment record: you can keep an individual sheet for each person, kept with their health form you can write all treatments on the back of a girl's health form you can keep a real "book" you can use a loose leaf system (this is my preferred option and a simple layout is below). |
