* use each person to represent some form of life and one person for the sun. * start with sun and join her to all the plants with a piece of string each. * then arrange each herbivorous animal connected to its food plant(s) with pieces of string. * Then connect the predators to their prey. * make sure you have man in there somewhere. * look around and see how everything depends on other things. Now 'chop down' a tree, and everyone connected to it drops that piece of string. Any animals who now have no food source are 'dead' and they sit down and drop any other strings, and any predators who now have no food source are also 'dead' and sit down. if you haven't many people use chairs with labels and sellotape.
