The Fairy Known as Niam |
Once upon a time, in a world long since forgotten both by people and gods a like, a small fairy known only as Niam was known to most Mystics, if by no other way then by name. As a young fairy she was found at the castel gate by Nirika's father, who, being very soft hearted, brought her into his family to gard his daughter, and made this fairy his daughters lady in waiting. Niam watched over Nirika for many, many years, and looked apon her as her mother. They lived for hunderes of years before Nirika desided she wished to take a husband. After years of searching Nirika found her love, Odin. Odin being another imortal, like Nirika, had also been wondering the earth, cursed by the gods, never to die by his own hand, fell deeply in love with Nirika. Niam was not happy by this, and tormented Odin to her little hearts content. She was used to her life with Nirika, and wished for things to go back to the way they were before Odin had come around. Niam didn't get nearly as much time with Nirkia as she wanted, but Nirkia was happy, so Niam couldn't complain. A long time after, Nirka and Odin had a child, and Niam began to devote all of her attention to the young one for Nirika. It got to the point that when Nirika would go on long trips away from her home, Niam would stay behind to tend to the little one. She would be seen playing with her for hours and hours and hours on end, never getting bored, and always daunting on her. One day, while playing in the court yard, an urgant message came from the Adventures Inn. Niam left the child in the care of the nurse maids at that castle, and swiftly flew to the Inn, to find her beloved Nirika had been killed. Niam was crushed to learn this, but before the shok could ware off, Odin pulled her aside to talk to her, as he was the one that called for her. Odin asked her at this time, to take his daughter and to run far, far away, and to never tell anyone where she is. Niam understood the reasons for Odin asking such a thing, and fled back to Nirika's castle, stole the child in the middle of the night and vanished. No one has seen Niam since Nirika's death, and no one has seen the Child since that time as well. The world has come and gone, and still no one has heard from this Fairy, or the Child in her keeping. We can only hope that both are still alive and well and living in the world of the Fea. |
