VA-105: The 1950's The birth of a legacy |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The original VA-105 was established in the May 1952 at Master Jet Base NAS CECIL FIELD, and disestablished in 1959. They were called the "Cannoneers," and flew different versions of the AD Skyraider, a reciprocating engine, propellor driven bomber. In my squadron research, I have discovered some inconsistencies in historical documents, specifically referring to logos, dates of establishment and disestablishments of squadrons. (See guys, that's why all our log entries are SO IMPORTANT! Didn't we learn ANYTHING in BOOT CAMP?) |
