WHAT: FIRST-EVER VA-105 / VFA-105 Gunslingers & Cannoneers Reunion

WHEN: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 13^th - 15^th, 2006

WHERE: Holiday Inn, Orange Park, FL. (I-295 and Hwy 17/Roosevelt Blvd,

WHO: Open to Gunslinger and Cannoneer alumni, family & friends. RSVP by 7/24/06.

Schedule of Events

-       Friday: Join-Up: 5pm ‘til liberty expires.  Casual attire. Cash bar.
-       Saturday: morning golf outing @ NAS JAX, or the Cecil Commerce Center

(formerly NAS CECIL FIELD). POV (Privately-Owned Vehicle transporation).

-       shopping @ St Augustine Outlet Malls (24 miles south on I-95) POV.

-       tour of Cecil Commerce Center. POV.

- ship tour: USS JOHN F KENNEDY, ARLEIGH BURKE Class DDG, or

TICONDEROGA Class CG. POV.

- tour of historical St Augustine. POV.
-       Reunion Dinner: 6:30pm in the hotel’s Nassau Room. Buffet style.

Comfortable attire. Squadron historical program / presentation.

-       Sunday: Open.

COST: Saturday evening dinner 6:30pm: $25 per person (Price includes gratuity.)

LODGING: 30 rooms are blocked off for us. Special group rate is $73 per night, plus tax.

You must reserve your own room via phone, by 9/13/06 to get the rate. Call (904) 264-9513 and be sure to mention “VA-105 Gunslinger Reunion group.” Reservations after 9/16/06 are subject to the hotel’s “going rate.” ***DO NOT reserve your room online.***

NOTES: BRING ANY MEMORABILIA & pics you’d like to show! We don’t have MAA’s, so you’ll be responsible for items you bring. There is significant interest from several decades of alums in the ‘50s, 60s, 70s, 80s & beyond.  It’s certain to be a memorable event. We will even have VA-105 Plankowners in attendance! If you have contact with other alums, pass this along!
