Kathleen is a native of Brooklyn  and a graduate of Parsons School
of Design in New York.
She is married to Charles Gwinnett  and they are the parents of three grown children.
Painting at the Tonnara in Scopello, Sicily
Kathleen began traveling to Italy in 1991 and was enthralled with it's people and achitecture.

She loves to visit the cities and small villages and  experience the beauty and culture of their historical past.
Working in many media, Kathleen has  concentrated on watercolors since 1977, after her move to Burlington, North Carolina.  She paints in a realistic, but transparent style and her work is recognizable by her vibrant use of color. She has enjoyed the challenge of representing architecture since she was given class assignments to sketch the buildings and churches of New York City in the early '60s.

  .......Today commissions  of
homes and other images are always welcome.
