| Bulb style water tower on South Walton Co. Highway 30A Co. Road 30A runs as an alternate route to US 98 along the beaches of South Walton, from Miramar to the bridge at Destin. Several water towers are visible in this area. The public beach at the end of 30A, at least during off-season, is not to be missed. In the early morning, one can watch the small boats heading out into the Gulf of Mexico. Amusement parks with go-carts and water rides as well as chain and local restaurants are nearby, though the parks are not open during the offseason. |
