ANIMALS : Animals often symbolise our emotions. Humans have human emotions
which are dampened down with a wish to be diplomatic. Animals tend to show
their emotions openly.
HORSES : Horses have for a long time been associated with passion and
excitement. Horse though are very unpredictable and so can link to risk taking.
A horse can quickly get out of control. Horses then tend to link to the general
excitement and the level of risk in our lives. They may also refer to some
upcoming event which involves excitement and risk.
KEY WORDS(Pick a quote which captures your feelings right now. Think especially
of the day before the dream) :
- "taking a chance"
- "be more careful"
- "more exhilarating"
- "very passionate"
- "exciting"
- "anything can happen"
- "I have been thinking about an upcoming event and really anything can
happen"

ANTS : Ants in someway will always deal with the issue of conformity.
They may link to pressure to conform in many situations as such your career,
your social life and personal life.
KEY WORDS(Pick a quote which captures your feelings right now. Think especially
of the day before the dream) :
- "controlling my mind"
- "making me fit in with the rest"
- "conforming to the groups wishes"
- "fitting in with society"
CATS : Cats are not easy symbols to understand. But pets are solitary
creatures and cats seem to be linked with a wish to be independent. Cats are
also associated with magic and with that an ability to see in the dark. They
can thus see through difficult circumstances. But many dreams about your cat
may simply link to your thoughts about your cat.
KEY WORDS(Pick a quote which captures your feelings right now. Think especially
of the day before the dream) :
- "I want to do this my own way"
- "I want to be by myself right now"
- "my cat needs..."
- "I have been thinking about my cat"
LION : Lions are terrifying creatures and its this that is the basis
of their symbolic meaning. That has a positive aspect symbolising your own
strength and power and courage. But there is also a negative aspect which
links to your fears of people and problems. The lion is associated with land
and so the problems will tend to be real problems of a specific nature. They
are not unconscious fears and worries. They will be problems that you can
identify and which you have probably been trying to avoid at all costs.
KEY WORDS(Pick a quote which captures your feelings right now. Think especially
of the day before the dream) :
- "I was really scared when I saw him"
- "I would really like to avoid doing that"
- "she really stood up to me and was really angry"
- "she is very intimidating"
- "very courageous"
PIG : Pigs tend to link to some of the characteristics we associate
with pigs such as gluttony. They can also link to men and some of their worst
characteristics - "he is a pig!"
KEY WORDS(Pick a quote which captures your feelings right now. Think especially
of the day before the dream) :
- "He is an absolute pig!"
- "An enourmous workload"
- "taking on more than I can manage"

THE DREAM - I am somewhere near the bottom of Jacob's mount. The biggest
hill in my home town. There is someone telling me that there is nothing left
of the old town - its like some small town American place in the outback.
There is nothing left of the brothel. I am shown that all that is left is
- I look in and hear the sound of a newly born baby. There also appear to
be horses there.
Then I am near home. Some family is moving out. They have a very large wardrobe
ready to be moved onto the removal truck. They have a removal truck the size
of a superstore delivery truck.
THE REALITY The dreamer was going through some life changes. He was just about
to start a new job. Previous to that he had been in somewhat of a rut.
DREAM MEANING The dream has captured the following feeling within the dreamer
- "This new job will be good for me. I have got into some bad habits
recently and a new challenge will make my life much more exciting".
THE INTERPRETATION New born babies often symbolise new and fresh circumstances
freshly born into your life. So the connection with the new job was obvious.
The dream is also associated with horse(symbols of passions). That showed
the passion with which the dreamer was approaching the new circumstances.
The Mount in the dream could have symbolised some tough circumstances ahead.
He would have some difficult times ahead but it was something he was looking
forward to.
The brothel was maybe a symbol of some of his bad habits previously. He was
getting into a rut. The old town represented his old involvement's in life
and old ways of thinking.
The removals were a clear sign of change. This dream represented the movement
to a new situation.
Symbolic
Meanings
BABY : "an exciting new job being born into the dreamers life"
BROTHEL : "the bad habits that the dreamer had been getting into"
HILL : "difficult times behind the dreamer - a tough challenge ahead"
HORSE : "greater excitement and exhilaration"
MOVING : "a transformation in your circumstances or emotions"
SMALL TOWN : "having a small-town mind - not prepared to take on big challenges"
WARDROBE : "how you want to appear to people"
----------------------
DREAM TIP : It is sometimes good to think about how dream symbols meanings
are formed. Horses for instance can link to the way they react. They are very
excitable and often can move in unpredictable ways. cavalry charges for instance
can go dreadfully wrong. There are many instances in history of cavalry turning
around and causing havoc amongst their own forces. Dreams then can capture
that sense of unpredictablity associated with horses. It may suggest that
you feel some situation in your life is equally unpredictable.
------------------------
THE DREAM - It all looked like a movie. It started with a griffin running
through the wilderness. It's so fast, it leaves mountains, plains and forests
behind. A narrator's voice tells something about it, then the griffin stops
and night falls all of a sudden. The narrator says "those who could see this
rare event will never forget, when the griffin turns into evil women"
It's in the woods. The griffin splits into 3 women wearing evil grinning masks
and black dresses. Then the masks fall and the women form a triangle, facing
each other. A fourth woman ( wearing orange dress? ) appears out of nowhere,
I knew that she was a really good person.
The three evil women ignore her as she tries to talk to them. A young man
appears out of nowhere and joins the group. He looks like a prince. All women
gather around him and try to seduce the prince, he looks like a good person
and tries to talk to all of them, except the good woman who tries to speak
something but remains ignored.
Finally, the sun rises and a train appears and the man and the 3 women in
black dresses get on it, and the train goes away. The woman in orange remains
there, walking slowly, smiling. The dream gets a peaceful atmosphere and I
wake up.
THE REALITY The dreamer had come into contact with some evil girls recently.
For a split second she thought of acting like them. However, she saw how bad
relationships supported by falsehoods was not a good way to live her life.
DREAM MEANING The dream has captured the following feeling within the dreamer
- "I was thinking of three girls I know. They are totally obsessed by
the need to get a man and get married. Thats not me. They just have one track
minds. I will not go to such extremes"
THE INTERPRETATION Dreams often show us dealing with relationships and the
type of behavior which we wish to adopt in life.
The three women enter this girls life and later leave by train. That shows
that she considered acting the way that they act(in an evil and selfish way).
However, they left so she rejected that way of thinking. The three women are
symbols of freewill - three is a synonym for free. It shows that this is an
issue over which there is freedom to choose one path or another. We are free
to exercise our freewill. So this dream links to some aspect of our behavior
which we are free to change.
The wilderness at the start maybe signifies how things are not going very
well in the dreamers love life at present. It is like a wilderness.
The vulture is a sign of the type of behavior the vulture adopts. They pounce
on the slightest weakness and eat anything that comes their way. It its a
somewhat negative way to act.
The triangle is often a symbol of love matters - a love triangle. The masks
are symbols of devious behavior - they hide the reality of your intentions.
The good woman is a sign of the dreamers good side. This is the alternative
to the evil women. So this dream is clearly poses a question. The dreamer
can either act like the evil women or she can act like the good woman.
The evil women then disappear on the train - a symbol of fixed ways of thinking.
The train is also a sexual metaphor so could symbolise that.
Symbolic
Meanings
EVIL : "devious minded - the dreamer is thinking about women who would go
to any lengths to capture a man"
MOUNTAIN : "an enormous challenge - a tricky situation"
MOVIE : "replaying some event - the dreamer is thinking over what she has
recently seen"
PRINCE : "ideal partner - the dreamer is wondering how far she would go to
get her ideal partner"
SMILE : "the dreamer feels quite content with her life"
TRAIN : "a one track mind - these girls were obsessed with men and cannot
think of anything else"
WILDERNESS : "nothing really happening - in this case it links to the lack
of a boyfriend"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
DREAM TIP : Often dreams will follow simple story lines. Its a matter
of taking the moral of the story and applying it to your own life. Look back
to the day before the dream and issues alive in your mind then and see if
the story in the dream had a similar theme to real life.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE DREAM I was living in a rental house. I think I was living there
by myself, but a girlfriend (unidentified) was there with me at the time.
There was a hole in my roof from the hurricanes we had this year and I noticed
a bunch of ants coming in through the roof. This was in the living room.
I called the landlord who said he couldn't get anyone out to fix the house
till the weekend was over. I thought since it was just a few ants that it
would be okay. BUT, the ants started to swarm, there were like millions of
them dropping from the hole in the ceiling. My best friend and I sprayed each
other down with ant killer as they were falling all over us and biting us
all over our bodies, particularly our backs since we were turning away from
them as they dropped.
Then a hole opened up in my bedroom - don't know if the ants caused the hole
or not. There were swarms and swarms of ants coming down and it was like they
were mostly swarming around the ceiling and only hundreds were dropping down
to where we were. I couldn't afford to have anyone come out to fix the ceilings
and most people said they didn't know how to handle that many ants anyway.
The landlord would not send anyone until Monday and said I would just have
to deal with it.
Then the ants started really swarming and so much that they were forming into
big balls and looked like tornados of ants. I was really concerned that the
situation was going to get much worse. Then all of a sudden, like someone
was on the roof with a huge vacuum cleaner the ants just flowed out back through
the holes in the living room ceiling and the bedroom ceiling. There were still
stragglers on us and on the ground and around, but we killed them with the
ant spray.
Then my coworker I swap jokes with was standing near my couch and put his
arm around me and pulled me close and kissed me. I told him, "It's about time
you did that. I know you've wanted to." And we sat on the couch kissing before
moving into the kitchen were a neighbor drove by the kitchen door and wanted
to know if we wanted anything from McDonald's as he was on his way there.
THE REALITY The dreamer had left her husband and the cult that they were both
living in. Just recently she had been reflecting over the past and how the
cult had dominated her life. She now was starting to do normal things like
send Christmas cards. That was the type of thing that had been before quite
illegal within the cult.
DREAM MEANING The dream captures the following feeling within the dreamer
- "I left a religious cult a few months ago. I have been thinking over
my times since then. I have started to do normal things such as enjoy Christmas
and go to MacDonalds(all which were banned when I was a member of the cult)"
THE INTERPRETATION The main symbol in this dream is the ants.
ANTS : Ants are extremely conformist animals. They always act in the wider
interests of the group. They therefor symbolise conforming to some behavior.
An ant dream could symbolise some strong group or society in general who impose
standards of behavior on people.
The ants therefor symbolise the way the cult imposed standards of behavior
on the dreamer. But notice that after a short while the ants stay just around
the ceiling. That shows that the dreamer limited the impact on herself. Indeed
she stated : "I had been adopting the doctrine of the cult without questioning
it because in the beginning it was fascinating to learn and then I began to
question things being taught but was met with much resistance. In order to
not be labeled as a troublemaker and rebellious which would have destroyed
my marriage I pretty much played a Stepford believer. "
The ant spray is clearly symbolic of how the effect of the cult was brought
under control. Maybe the dreamer could "not afford" to get the problem seen
to because she could not afford to reject the cult at first because she knew
that would result in the end of her marriage.
Notice that the dream is a couch dream. That symbolised how the dreamer had
only recently started to deal with this issue. Quite often a quote will be
included in the dream which on its own makes no sense for instance "It's about
time you did that. I know you've wanted to". In reality that quote perfectly
captures the dreamers emotions. She HAD been needing to think through the
cult and its effect on her. The kiss in the dream with her coworker is symbolic
of how she had "worked through" the issue.
The mcDonalds is a symbol of normality and indeed of everyday American mainstream
life. But for the dreamer this represented everything that the cult was against.
So dropping by McDonalds represents an acceptance of mainstream society and
its values. She had recently sent out Christmas cards for the first time(the
word Christmas was banned in the cult). She had also done other things forbidden
in the cult : She had bought a cross necklace (idolatry according to the cult);
she moved into a new house with a mortgage(a major sin of debt according to
the cult); She was drinking more than two glasses of wine or beers with friends
(forbidden because it leaves one open to devil spirit possession); she was
in therapy and on antidepressants (a weakness and not relying on God according
to the cult);
Often the venue of the dream is important. KITCHEN : the kitchen is the symbol
of future plans. It symbolises how we are looking to the future thinking through
what it is we enjoy and what we want to do.
Earlier the bedroom features : BEDS : Beds symbolise issues which are intensely
personal and affect us very deeply. The cult was obviously affecting her very
deeply and very personally.
The house is a rental house. A house is often symbolic of the self or of your
own approach to some issue. If the house is not owner occupied then perhaps
that links to how someone else is dictating everything that you do. That you
must conform to every request. That would again be consistent with the cult.
Symbolic Meanings
ANTS : "overwhelming obedience to the group - in this case the control the
cult had over her"
BED : "something that affects you in a very personal way"
BEST FRIEND : "an ideal picture of how things should be"
CLEAN : "restore your pride in something - restoring order and purifying your
mind"
COWORKER : "working through this emotional issue "
HOUSE : "your personality and how you are behaving to the world around you"
HURRICANE : "inability to think clearly - the cult controls her mind "
KILL : "trying to resist and kill off the influence of the cult"
KITCHEN : "thinking through your future and how to make life more interesting"
LIVING ROOM : "things in general in your life - your real life conscious day
to day world in practice"
PEOPLE : "comparing your behavior in some way - comparing her behavior in
the cult and now since she has left the cult"
SPRAY : "intense effort to resist the cult"
STRAGGLER : "remnant of some old way of seeing the world"
------------------------
DREAM TIP : Try to think of dream symbols as words. Horses then could
easily link to words such as "unpredictable" or 'excitable'. Then write down
several quotes which capture your emotions from yesterday and which express
your opinion on how you relate to life in general. Then look to see where
those words 'excitable' and 'unpredictable' appear. Its likely that the dream
symbol links to that emotion or situation in your life.
------------------------
THE DREAM I came home and their waiting on the table was a gift for
me, I opened it and found 2 shirts and this big seashell. I went to the beach
and looked across the water to a island. I asked the life guard when High
tide was and she didn't know, I wanted to swim to the island but thought I'd
better stay where I was at. I saw dolphins swimming through the surf and thought
that it was cool. The water was a deep blue and very calm. My mum was the
one that gave me the gift that was waiting for me. The gift was from a friend.
THE REALITY The dreamer was involved with a man but she felt that it was better
to hold back. She was doing a lot of deep thinking and realised that she often
gives a lot but she does not think about what she wants.
DREAM MEANING The dream captures the following feeling within the dreamer
- "I am involved with a man right now. But I do not want to make a serious
commitment right now. I think its right to take my time and be sure of my
feelings."
THE INTERPRETATION The setting is this ocean which is a classic symbol of
the unconscious and in particular emotional relationships and connections.
SEAS and OCEANS : oceans in dreams can symbolise your emotions as they mix
in with other people. They can symbolise moments of emotional connection.
It may be triggered by some exciting situation where you experience strong
emotions with others. For instance a sleep-over with friends or a great date.
Such dreams show us experiencing feelings with others but these are often
simply strong emotions they are not linked to any specific issue.
The dolphin is also a clear symbol of a highly activated unconscious mind.
DOLPHINS : Any living creatures within the sea show signs of deep life within
your emotions and feelings. Dolphins are great communicators and they are
also very spiritual. They therefor symbolise communication with your own feelings.
You are in touch with your own emotions.
Mothers are symbols of cautious emotions. They show you being responsible
and that clearly links to the dreamers caution as regards the relationship.
A gift is often something that has great emotional significance. That obviously
links with reality here as the gift for the dreamer was to hold back and experience
real emotional growth as a result.
The ocean then links with our feelings. The land symbolises facts and reality.
So if the dreamer is heading for land it shows that she has come to an opinion
on the issue. But she stays where she is and that obviously links with reality.
She has decided to stay this state of unconscious realization. She is letting
the natural flows of her desires rise to the surface.
The dream also shows these two shirts. The number two often links with a situation
where she has two choices. Clothes are symbols of the signals that we send
out to people. They are the moods that we choose to "wear".
Symbolic Meanings
2 : "a choice between two clear options "
BEACH : "thinking over some issue which involves your feelings and your real
life situation - how do you really feel!"
CALM : "a lack of anxiety about something - the dreamer wants to take her
time and make the right decision"
LIFE GUARD : "a safe and thoughtful route - the dreamer is taking a responsible
route in emotional affairs"
LOOK : "making sure of something - being sure about something"
MUM : "taking a cautious approach - being sure of your feelings"
SWIM : "exploring her feelings "
---------------------------
THE DREAM I was talking to this guy and he was drawing some stuff and
I was judging his drawings since I can draw better than him but one of the
drawings that stick out was a drawing of a black guy in a orange Hawaiian
outfit another drawing that stuck out was a refrigerator/vault thing. I flipped
through the pages and saw the Vault closed, than I flipped the page again
and saw it open with dirty water. The Refrigerator became three dimensional
like it came off the page.
I Dump the dirty water from the refrigerator in the tub, and I notice their
were flies swarming all in the water. In some how the flies in the dirty water
got into my mouth and I can feel the flies making their way down my throat.
Then my father came out of nowhere and my daddy told me what to do to get
rid of the flies in my throat. Right after that I woke up constantly swallowing
as if I can still feel them in my throat.
THE REALITY At the time of the dream the dreamers girlfriend was in Florida
and was sick with strep throat. She was supposed to be visiting pretty soon.
DREAM MEANING The dream has captured the following feeling within the dreamer
- "Well my girlfriend is back from Florida. But I think I will have to
let her recover before seeing her as she has strep throat. It will not be
the reunion that I had hoped for"
THE INTERPRETATION Often its best to work a dream in reverse. The dreamer
clearly had something on his mind. His girlfriend was coming to visit yet
there were things which were unclear in his mind. The dream then is about
those nagging doubts.
So how could that issue be consistent with that issue. The drawing is the
main symbol. Drawing is symbolic of how you build up a picture in your mind
of how things will be. In this case the pictures are of a black guy. Black
is a very symbolic color and can link to dark feelings about something - indecision
and confusion. In this case it probably shows that the dream is aware of the
possibilities of worries and problems probably connected with strep throat.
He is really looking forward to his girlfriends return but maybe does not
know quite what is in store. She maybe in a dark mood and not willing to see
him(too busy concentrating on being ill).
The fridge is a symbol of keeping things in storage and keeping things fresh.
In this case the dream links up with the belief that even when his girlfriend
comes back he is unlikely to be able to resume their normal relationship as
she will be too busy being ill. Things will have to again go on hold whilst
she recovers.
In fact the dream is indeed building up a 'three dimensional' picture of how
things will be. The flies probably symbolizes the illness and irritations
the dreamers girlfriend is suffering.
Finally the dreamers father is a symbol of the need to be sensible and allow
her to recover properly.
Clothes are also important in dreams. They show the signals that we send out.
The Hawaiian shirt is symbolic of the warm and friendly greeting and signals
he is sending out. But perhaps the black guy symbolizes the mixed feelings
about the return.
Symbolic Meanings
DAD : "being sensible and rational - a cautious approach"
DRAWING : "picturing how something will be "
FLIES : "bugs - the dreamer is thinking about the state of his girlfriends
throat "
HAWAII : "links with a good mood - symbolic of his good mood due to his girlfriends
return "
------------------
THE DREAM I had a dream last night that related to what I did the night
before. In real life I went to a bar, played cards with my friends, and played
the open mic night there. I get home late and turn on the TV, I turn it off.
I go to sleep.
In the dream: I am in a restaurant playing cards with a couple of black guys
who I never have met before. Its cool we are all getting along, we're all
friends. Then I lay my head down on the table and look up to see an inch worm
descending from the ceiling by a silk thread. An insect like a grasshopper
jumps onto the inchworm and slowly devours it, much to the dismay of the inchworm.
I return to the card game. Then I am looking around the room and I see an
attractive brunette she says something (I can't remember what) and then as
my friends and I are about to leave a friend of mine ( the drummer in my band
in real life) goes over and gets her number and I realize that she is a girl
I hadn't seen in years.
Everything fits time wise in recapping the night I had. At the restaurant,
hanging out with friends, playing cards, see a pretty girl, leave the place.
The only things that don't fit is the bit about the bugs and the drummer never
asked any girl for her number. (Interpreted on www.dreammoods.com)
THE REALITY The dreamer had spent a relaxing night with friends playing cards.
He very much enjoyed the card playing. But when he played his guitar he had
an uneasy feeling about what people thought about him. They responded with
supportive comments but he could sense that they were not impressed.
DREAM MEANING The dream has captured the following feeling within the dreamer
- "I enjoyed last night but sometimes I wonder if my friends give me
praise for my music without meaning it. I was terrible last night."
THE INTERPRETATION Often dreams will be about some evening out the night before.
Dreams are often about such events that happened the day before. So look for
evidence of people and associations. Say for example you played cards the
previous night then if the dream features card playing then the dream could
be about that situation.
Once you have established such a connection then its usually fairly simple
to solve the dream. Dreams are generally about our intuitions. So look for
some new thoughts and feelings that have emerged as a result of such events.
Your dreams represent such newly emerging thoughts.
In this case the meaning of the dream was maybe quite easily understood as
the dreamer did leave the bar with some strong intuitions about the evening.
The dreamer played his guitar at the open mike. What was too much for him
was the fact that he was out in the open being devoured alive by the audience.
His own self criticism was consuming him. He did not feel good about his performance
because the audience was not responding. They said good things about him afterwards
but he got the feeling that they were sitting through his performance and
even suffering.
So here we have the main link to the symbols in the dream. The audience were
just like the grasshopper who was devouring the inchworm. He was being eaten
alive on stage.
A second emotion was connected with the night. The dreamer enjoyed the card
playing. Often cards and card playing are extremely symbolic but in this case
the dream uses it as a literal symbol of itself. However, it connects some
meaning to this with the strong emotional feeling that he had during the dream.
The card playing was linked to positive emotions. So when looking back over
the night before the dreamer enjoyed the card playing but was a little distressed
at his own performance with the guitar.
The attractive girl from high school is a difficult part of the dream. But
the dreamer stated that he identified with the drummer and his goals. So maybe
this represents how he enjoys playing and enjoys the team spirit within the
band.
Symbolic Meanings
ATTRACTIVE : "something that is attractive and appealing"
DEVOURED : "his guitar playing was terrible - he felt the audience should
have slaughtered him"
TV : "action replay of something - thinking through exactly what happened"
-----------------------------------
THE DREAM In last night's dream it was Saturday night and I was in
Cheyenne, Wyoming. I had arrived by train but the train stopped there and
didn't continue it's trip. The next train didn't leave until Monday morning.
I went to the airport but the next plane didn't leave until Monday morning.
Then I went to the bus station but the next bus didn't leave until Monday
morning. All of the rental car agencies were closed until Monday morning.
It was night and I was looking for something to eat. All of the restaurants
were closed until Monday morning.
I was standing across the street from a building. The building was made out
of rocks and cement. It also had a flat roof with a sloping brown metal apron
around it. The entrance was across the street, but the driveway went down
a hill into the parking lot. Street level was above the building's roof. I
saw other people walking into the building so I followed. The doors were on
the south side of the building.
The inside of the building had no furniture. It had thick brown carpet, gold
walls, and tile ceiling with fluorescent lights. On the west wall was a white
screen for a movie projector. I sat on the floor with a few other people along
the wall opposite the screen.
A man who said he was a pastor put a film in the projector. The film was home
video of people whipping elephants. Their whips had sharp metal at the ends
and they whipped the elephants until their skin fell off. The pastor said
that cruelty to animals is immoral and he was organizing a trip to Africa
to stop this. Then the pastor said "An elephant never forgets".
Then another man in the audience got up and said that he was a pastor who
had his own radio talk show and his own TV talk show. This pastor said that
cruelty to animals isn't immoral and there was nothing wrong with whipping
elephants until their skin fell off. Then he said that he has been to Africa
on several elephant whipping trips and he was organizing another trip to Africa
to whip more elephants.
At that time the pastor who showed the film opened the front door to the building
and an elephant came inside. The elephant had about half of it's skin missing.
The rest of it's body was pink and covered with yellow blisters. The elephant
walked up to the pastor in the audience and said "Do you remember me? I remember
you. An elephant never forgets." Then the elephant kicked and trampled the
poacher pastor to death. After the pastor was dead the elephant left the building.
I walked outside and the sun was up. There was a construction company building
a new driveway into the building. There were two surveyors at the end of the
driveway. The surveyors were being yelled at because they surveyed it wrong
and the curb on the west side of the driveway was 1.8 feet lower than the
curb on the east side of the driveway. I walked up the driveway and there
was a Mexican man standing next to a new sewer. He looked at me and said "That's
my Quiva de Cerveza" ( I don't know if that makes any sense in Spanish ).
I looked down the sewer and there was all kinds of Mexican beer inside. I
reached down and pulled out some cold ones and shared them with him. The temperature
inside the sewer was one degree above freezing and the beer tasted very good.
At that time another man drove into the parking lot with a semi. He looked
at me and said "Here's your transportation out of Cheyenne, you can drive
it to Denver." I looked him and told him I would take US Rt. 85 south to US
Rt. 34 west to I-25 south because I wanted to avoid the truck scales. Then
the man took away the truck because he didn't want me to go that way. He said
it would take too long.
Then the same man drove into the parking lot with a car. He said I could drive
the car to my parents house ( which is northwest of Denver ). I told him I
would take I-25 south to the Northwest Parkway to US Rt. 287 south. Then the
man said "I don't like that way. Northwest Parkway is a turnpike and this
car doesn't have ExpressToll". Since he didn't like my proposed route, he
took the car away from me.
Then I called my parents to come and give me a ride out of Cheyenne. They
pulled up in their van and my aunt and uncle were with them. They parked on
the other side of a ditch. I looked at the ditch and it was filled with thorny
plants that had magenta flowers on top. The ditch looked like it was ankle
deep so I was going to walk across it. I took one step and I fell in the ditch.
I was surrounded by thorny plants that were seven feet tall. I climbed back
out and I was covered with prickly thorns.
Then the dream ended. In the dream I failed to leave Cheyenne, WY, which is
what I intended to do in the beginning of the dream.
THE REALITY The dreamer was in Florida staying in a hotel. He ordered a private
mail box so He could receive mail. He told people to either send mail to his
address in New Jersey or don't send anything at all. His Dad ignored his request
and sent him a parcel to the address of the hotel where He was temporarily
staying. He didn't find out about this until he was ready to check out, so
consequently He had to extend his stay and wait for that package. The dreamer
didn't say anything to his Dad about sending the package where he told him
not to send it because that package was a Christmas gift. It would be very
insensitive to bite someone's head off because he didn't like the method they
used to send a gift.
DREAM MEANING The dream captures the following thoughts within the dreamer
- "I know my father made a serious error which has disrupted me. But
I am trying to calm myself down and take a more relaxed attitude towards this
as he was after all sending me my Christmas present."
THE INTERPRETATION The dream has obvious references to delays and problems.
It captures a sense of real frustration. In most cases dreams link to very
specific feelings. They capture issues usually from the day before. In this
case the dreamer could mention something very specifically. It was about having
to extend his stay at a hotel in order to receive a Christmas present. The
dreamer had given clear instructions to everyone yet his father sent a parcel
anyway. So that is an obvious subject for a dream.
Yet the dream deals with the abuse of these elephants. Skin in dreams is a
symbol of sensitivity. In the dream there is a debate raging about if its
OK to whip these elephants. That symbolises the fact that there is a debate
within his own mind. That symbolises how in reality the dreamer was restraining
himself because the parcel was a Christmas gift. It would be insensitive to
fly off the handle.
The pastor is also a symbol of Christian thoughts and putting into practice
your religious feelings. So here maybe it shows that the dreamer is trying
to preach to himself and try to do the right thing. Its like there is a little
voice in his mind trying to control his frustration.
Sewers carry all sorts of unwanted material. They are essentially an infrastructure
to deal with bad feelings. They symbolise how we deal with bad experiences
and bad thoughts. Perhaps the cold beer is symbolic of how quickly a cool
drink can help get rid of this petty irritation. Sometimes we need to unwind
if an issue is in our minds. So the dreamer had to stay in Florida in order
to receive a parcel. Thats not such a bad thing is it.
Plants often symbolise things that are growing and taking root within our
minds. These plants contain thorns and that may show that for the dreamer
this is a "thorny issue". Its a subject that just like the whipped elephants
he will find difficult to forget yet he is making attempts to dismiss this
from his mind
Symbolic Meanings

his father"

towards something"
ELEPHANT : "a long memory - the dreamer will find it difficult to forget this
incident "

DREAM TIP : Think of a horse in a dream as a word such as 'excitement'.
Then think of the rich and varied ways in which that word can be used in the
English language such as "I was very excited yesterday", "where is the excitement
in my life" and "he was very passionate on the subject". Dream symbols are
used in equally rich and varied ways by dreams. Do not make the simple mistake
of saying that dreams about horses mean that there is greater excitement in
your life. Rather you need to think how that dream symbol could apply in your
current life. Think especially of the day before and how a dream symbol could
apply to thoughts you felt then.

THE DREAM I was the passenger in a car, and the car kept losing speed
because of some power loss that for some reason was my fault or responsibility,
suddenly it would regain power and speed up again (for no reason) until it
lost power again. Then the road turned into a dirt road, and we were sure
we were lost (male driver, whom I don't know) From dirt road it turned into
a dirt trail, and finally into a dirt path, so we stopped to try to figure
out where we were. At that time I heard shots fired, and saw many horses (or
donkeys, don't know) that were being chased by cowboys who were shooting and
making them run and stampede in our direction. As they got closer I noticed
the "cowboy horses" had the saddle and were doing the chasing, but there were
no cowboys, there was nobody riding these horses. Eventually the chased horses
stampeded into some very high and pointy sand dunes were they got stuck and
could no longer run. At that moment I woke up
THE REALITY The dreamer was a 50 year old man currently separated and going
towards a possible divorce. He was also about to lose his job due to the company
closing down.
DREAM MEANING The dream captures the following thoughts within the dreamer
- "Life is treating me really badly at the moment. I seem to be heading
towards divorce and also I am about to lose my job. I do not seem to be in
control and life seems as if its spiraling out of control at times. I think
I am getting my head together - a couple of days ago I was worried about just
how bad things would become. One thing can lead to another."
THE INTERPRETATION It is actually quite difficult to interpret dreams. But
dreams do give you good clues. They will often link to recent events and situations
in your life. This dreamer had some big changes going on in his life so its
fair to say that these would be shaping his thoughts right now and dominating
his mind.
It is easy to imagine what the emotions are he is feeling. Stampedes could
easily link to his general life situation which seems chaotic with problems
in his personal relationships and within his job. A stampede symbolises moments
when things get out of hand and anything can happen. Horses are unpredictable
creatures and can link to unpredictable events. This certainly captures this
dreamers situation as he is probably going to lose his job so his has obvious
fears over that.
Yet the one good thing is that the stampede loses its momentum and so could
suggest that the dreamer feels as if life is settling down a little. Before
he had maybe become paranoid and had a feeling that his life was spiraling
out of control.
Dreams capture our immediate thoughts and at times this dreamer would be justified
in thinking that life seemed to be drifting uncontrollably.
Symbolic Meanings
CAR : "the dreamers progress and direction in life"
GUN SHOTS : "sensing danger "
PASSENGER SEAT : "the dreamer is not in the driving seat so feels his
life is drifting off in ways he cannot control - he is losing his marriage
and also his job"
SAND DUNES : "the stampede loses momentum - the worst has passed"
STAMPEDE : "a sense that anything can happen as the horses will run in
unpredictable ways. Losing his job may spiral and things will get worse"
