He is an ex-international footballer for my country, Malaysia. He also played for the local team, Kuala Lumpur FC (my fav local team) and was in the brilliant team that bagged Malaysia Cup three years in a row from '87 - '89. I admired a few Malaysian defenders. Among them are Soh Chin Aun, Santokh Singh and off course Serbegeth (or Shebby as he is known in the office). Shebby also played for the national team that played host to the visiting Watford FC team in early 80's (John Barnes came down here too and Shebby had very tuff times against him, I was told by Shebby!) and also the England national squad that came down here in 1991. Gary Lineker played in that England squad where Malaysia was beaten 2-4. Shebby is now my office colleague! He is the resident football pundit/guest TV presenter for our ever-popular Astro Supersport's presentation of the English Premier League. I would say his job now is somewhat in the mould of what Alan Hansen is doing for UK's Match Of The Day. Shebby currently plays, occasionally in the same team with me in our local & much-feared (?) office team. Our team's name is Yellow Monsoon !
