Located just 50 kms. north of Amman, Jerash makes for a wonderful day trip, especially during the Jerash festival held each year in late July. Stepping through the main entrance brings you directly in to the impressive Oval Precinct, often referred to as the "Forum". Many of the ruins of these past civilizations are still visible today at sites throughout the country. جرش جرش من أهم المناطق السياحية الجذابة في الأردن وتلي مدينة البتراء الوردية في الجنوب. تقع على بعد 50 كم شمال عمان ويعتبر السفر إليها متعة خاصة خلال فترة المهرجان الذي يقام بها في شهر تموز من كل عام. عند الوصول للبوابة الخارجية يجد الزائر أمامه الساحة الرئيسية. مازال العديد من بقايا الحضارات القديمة ماثلة للعيان في كافة أرجاء جرش. ومن أفضل الأمثلة عليها المدينة الرومانية القديمة.
