SOME CAT FACTS PURRRING- Cats also purr if in pain,injured,labour or dying but mostly when contented PATS- They think of humans as their mum and they keep wanting the mother attention. CLAWING- This is done like a snake sheds it's skin. The old sheaths of claw is torn away to reveal new claws RUBBING- Against your legs to show friendly physical contact with you.The cat also puts a scent on you. TRAMPLING- When your cat jumps on your lap and presses down rythmically one paw after the other then you feel the claws. They do this as kittens when feeding and it is to say they love you. GROOMING- Cats groom themselves apart from keeping clean in summer they get hot and the cleaning works like human sweat glands. TAIL WAGGING- Only partly because they are angry .Also because he cannot decide between two things. TERRITORY- A cat can mark out up to 175 acres if living on a farm or roaming wild. SOCIAL- Depending on how a cat is treated as a kitten he will carry fear or warmth throughout it's life. DOORS- Cats hate doors and need a cat flap to go out and patrol it's territory and come in again. ARCHING BACK- If confronted by a dog a cat does this to make itself look bigger and more daunting to it's opponent, HISSING- A cat does this like a snake does to sound venomous and dangerous. |
