Mountain Kitties' Halloween Adventure

Chapter 2: 

Against Lizzie's better judgment, the two little cats snuck out the back door!

"It's spooky out here!" exclaimed Lizzie.  "Annie, we're going to get in trouble, I just know it!"

As usual, Annie was afraid of nothing, and ready for adventure.  "C'mon, Lizzie, don't be such a scaredy cat!"

"We'll just go trick-or-treating at the new neighbors' house down the lane, and then come right back. Nobody will even know we were gone."

 

 

So, little Annie and Lizzie marched down the lane, to the new neighbors' house.

Annie said, "There must be people home, I see lights on upstairs!"

Lizzie answered, "That doesn't mean that they are nice people, Annie!!!"
