From
David:
II did make a somewhat brief appearance
at the reunion (playing golf with Tommy and John
Phillips and drinking a few beers afterwards). After
graduating from UNC (Go
Heels) I took a couple of years off and stayed in Chapel Hill
to manage a restaurant.
When I realized that I might not ever
get out of Chapel Hill if I did not act quickly, I hastily applied to law
school and ended up going to the University of Richmond. I lived
with Richard and Kim
Macon (they were newlyweds at the time) for about the first two
seeks of law school while I waited for my house to become available and I
am sure that Richard and Kim enjoyed my company in the beginning days of
their marriage.
While in law school and reconnected with
Wendy (we had dated for a while during
college) and one thing led to another and we were married three days after
I took the bar exam. We live in Hampton and both work in Norfolk.
I am an in-house attorney with Trader Publishing Company handling employee
relations issues. After all of these years, Jim and I now work right
down the street from one another. In our spare time, Wendy and I are
fixing up our second older home.
We also spend a fair amount (too much)
time running and completed the San Diego Marathon in June. We are
now training to run the Marine Corp Marathon at the end of October and the
New York City Marathon next year. Believe me, this is not a return
to my athletic glory days and has been a very humbling experience. Like
Jim, I still can't get over him throwing up during the Homecoming Dance.
