Interstate 20/59 completely misses Cuba, AL. US Highways 11 and 80 mostly avoid the old stores and houses as well. Some of the flavor is available on the short cosigned section of 11/80, however, including the truck stop and a cemetary.

Other than a glimpse at old downtown (town?) Cuba, there's not much to recommend taking the scenic scenic route* from Cuba to south Meridian. Instead, continuing west on 80 and south on 11 takes one past a couple of old roadhouses and an abandoned weigh station.
