THE BLOOD OF JESUS

Here we find a very-very controversial subject;So much so that if you like a really good debate,all you have to do to get one is to get a group of christians together and bring this subject up.Then you will hear the greatest debate you will ever hear.

Some time back I heard such a debate and was finally asked,Brother Miller what do you think? I had to answer them this way,I am not really sure, I have never studied on this subject.So I simply told them that I would study this subject as soon as I finished the one I was now studying.

So some time later at another fellowship meeting of this group I was asked if I had an answer to this question now,Oh yes to be sure,My answer went about like this,

I told them the following:

Both sides of you are right,With that I got a quick reply,What do you mean?The following is what I told them and how I came to this believe.

First I looked at the notion that we could not live above sin.the following is what I found:

John 1/8
8.If we say we have no sin,we deceive outselves and the truth is not in us.

There is another thought that seems to answer this question,It is as following:

1 Corinthians 3/19
19.For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.For it is written,He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
There is other verses that says the same thing,But the above verse is pretty plain in saying it.So if our smartest thinking is foolish with God suppose we look at one more verse.

Proverbs 24/9
9. The thought of foolishness is sin:and the scorner is an abomination to men.

If foolish thoughts are sin,and our smartest or wishest thoughts are foolishness in the eyes od God, then how long has it been since we have had a thought?

Do we deceive ourselves,Is thoughts of foolishness really sin as as is said in Proverbs 24/9. that would be sayinng that it would be totally imposible for us to live above sin.And it seems that this group that believes man con not live above sin is righrt,However wait just a moment till we look at the other side of the question.

Yes let us look at the other side of this question,and see why the other group thinks and believes that we can.The followings are my findings.

1 John 3/8 & 9
8.He that committeth sin is of the devil;for the devil sinneth from the beginning.For this purpose the Son of God was manifected,that He might destroy the works of the devil.
9.Whosoever is borned of God doth not commit sin;For His seed remaineth in him and he cannot sin,because he is born of God.

Jesus Said:
Matthew 5/48
48.Be ye thereforte perfect,even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Now this side of the debate also sounds final and that this must be the right answer,without question.
Before we make our final decision,suppose we look at a few facts on this subject.Until we found the truth we might have thought on the posiblity of a miss understanding.But I knew there was no contradiction.So I started to looking for a reason for the two sides in this subject.But while looking up somethhing else I found the answer.Suppose we look at the following verse.

John 3.6
6.That which is born of the flesh is flesh,and that which is born of the spirit is spirit.
There are other verses that tell about the some so we must agree that we all have a physical being and a spiritual being,So we must find that the following is the answer.

1.That the physical being of this sin sick world is unable to live above sin.Now that says the this group that says we can-not live above be right,But let us not feel that the other side is wrong,so suppose we look at that side.
However the Spiritual being is expected to live above sin.In fact the redeemed not is commande to live above sin he is demanded to do so. Matthew 5/48 does not tell us to try to be perfect,it demands us to be perfect even as our Father which is in heaven is perfect.

So ther is only one answer that can be given and they are as following:

The physical being or human,can-not live in this world above sin.

However the spiritual being surely can and is demaned to do so.

So I told the fellowship of men that both sides were right.And I think that decision was generally excepted.
