Jane Kahn has devoted her life to fashion design every since she stepped through the doors of Portsmouth Art College for the first time at the age of 16. She is the one who makes all the patterns and so needs to be in Birmingham to keep production running.  But  today hers sights are firmly set on London.  She has always been the more-ambitious of the two, and makes no secret of the fact that up there in the first league of the alternative fashion world is where she intends to be, and stay.
