T- SHIRTS

Degville started mixing the two, witht he none too surreptitious planting of new Sigue Sigue Sputnik T-Shirts on the rails in Ya Ya.  - "We started to make all these T-Shirts with guitars and Fifth Generation Rock & Roll speak printed on them in Russian,  Japanese and phonetic letters...they were originally mad for the group but we soon started merchandising them to the public.  so consequently, when the group arrived we had already secured a captive audience.  We mad the T-shirts before we made our demos,  and as they didn't know it was a group we had them in the palm of our hands, so to speak.  They already had a small piece of SSS."                                                                                   Martin Degville - i-D magazine
