Stewart Mechem St Moritz

'St Moritz came about through a void that temporarily occured for an alternative club venue. It ran for only a few months, with me hosting it together with Billy, and Bic Owen on the door. Jeremy Healy was DJ, which was largely down to Philip Sallons ever helpful & enthusiastic encouragement. Sophie Parkin and her mother Molly were stalwarts, together with all our friends which regularly gathered at Keith Richards old house in Cheyne walk which Molly was 'caretaking'. Stephen Linnard, Kim Bowen, Pinkietessa, Fiona Dealy, Greg Davies, Rebecca du Pont de Bie all were active participants. The club basement was like a series of dingy whitewashed rooms, which smelt damp and reeked of old beer. Barry the Rats pet seemed very much at home.
