Jesus Christ can heal Cancer

This week’s
announcement that the famous ABC news anchorman Peter Jennings has lung cancer
is refocusing attention on
The Holy Bible assures
us the One True God “forgives all your iniquities, who heals
all your diseases.” (Psm.
103:3) Only the Lord Jesus Christ can
heal all diseases, yes, even cancer.
“Now Jesus went about all
“And Jesus went about all
the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of
the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.” (Mt. 9:35)
If the
Lord Jesus Christ could heal “every sickness and every disease” then He can also heal cancer today because “Jesus Christ is the same
yesterday, today and forever.” (Heb.
13:8)
Here are
the reasons why the Lord Jesus Christ is the only Person in the world who can
heal cancer completely.
The Lord Jesus
Christ’s own ministry includes the healing of the complete person of the
spirit, soul and body. (1 Thes. 5:23)
“The Spirit of the LORD
is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the
gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the
brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to
the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to preach the acceptable
year of the LORD.” (Lk.
4:18-19)
The Lord Jesus Christ
bore our
sicknesses on the
Cross
“But He was wounded for
our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our
peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” (Isa. 53:5)
This
prophetic word clearly teaches that bodily healing is included in the atoning
work of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is
verified by what Matthew wrote:
“When evening had come,
they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and
healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah
the prophet saying: “He Himself took our
infirmities and bore our sickness.” (Mt.
8:16-17)
The
apostle Peter also wrote about the atonement of our Lord Jesus Christ “who Himself bore our
sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for
righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed.” (1 Pet. 2:24) The
scriptures link the grounds of provision for both our salvation and our healing
to the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross. However, neither of them is automatically
given to us; for each provision – a soul’s eternal salvation or a person’s
temporal, physical healing – can only be received by personal faith and
prayer.
The Lord Jesus Christ
heals through Forgiveness
of Sin
Originally there was no
death and no sickness in the Garden of Eden. Spiritual death came after Adam and Eve had
sinned against God and physical death followed.
“Therefore,
just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death
spread to all men, because all sinned.” (Rom.
Our Lord Jesus Christ
demonstrated a correlation between sin and sickness when He said to the
paralytic: “Son, your sins are forgiven you.” (Mk. 2:5) After
Jesus had healed a man who had an infirmity thirty eight years He said to him, “See, you have been made
well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing
come upon you.” (Jn.
5:14)
It must be clearly understood
that not all sicknesses and diseases are caused by personal sins, nevertheless
many are the result of poor lifestyles and eating habits. Eating unclean meats defiles the believer’s

heals through Casting out Demons
“God has anointed
Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing
good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.” (Acts
It is clear that the
Lord Jesus Christ was healing the sick that were “oppressed by the devil”. Sickness was and
is still caused by the devil who “oppresses” the sick
folks with it. “Then Satan went out from
the presence of the LORD, and struck Job with painful boils from the sole of
his foot to the crown of his head.” (Job
2:7) The apostle Paul wrote, “a
thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I
be exalted above measure.” (2 Cor.
12:7)
The Lord Jesus Christ healed
“a woman
who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years.” (Lk. 13:11) And when the Pharisees complained about
Jesus healing the woman on a Sabbath day, He said to them, “So ought not this woman,
being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound; think of it; for eighteen
years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” (Lk.
13:16) Christians need to realize and accept the truth that sick
folks with terminal illnesses and chronic diseases such as cancer have the “spirit of infirmity” and are bound by Satan.
The spirit of cancer can be cast out.
“As they went out, behold
they brought to Him a man, mute and demon-possessed. And when the demon was cast
out, the mute spoke. And the
multitudes marveled, saying, ‘It was never seen like this in

The Lord Jesus Christ
has given this same power and authority to all true ministers of the

Personal
Faith is
important to Healing
“When Jesus departed from
there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, ‘Son of David, have
mercy on us!’ And when He had come into
the house, the blind men came to Him.
And Jesus said to them, ‘Do you believe that I am able to do this?’ They said to Him, ‘Yes, Lord.’ Then He touched their eyes, saying,
‘According to your faith let it be to you.’ And their eyes were opened, And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, ‘See that no one
knows it.’ But when they
departed, they spread the news about Him in all that country.” (Mt. 9:27-31)
“So Jesus answered and
said to them, ‘Have faith in God. For
assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed, and be
cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those
things he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you
ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mk. 11:22-24)
“Jesus said to him, ‘If
you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mk. 9:23)
Personal
Prayer is
important to Healing
When a person has a terminal illness
such as cancer there must be a daily personal prayer for healing. Although thousands of people on the Internet
may be making intercessory prayers, yet if the cancer patient does not personally
pray for the healing, God will not heal that person. This is serious!
Why is personal prayer so important
to healing? It is because God wants to
deal with the cancer patient personally and directly. The personal faith, personal relationship
with the Lord Jesus Christ and the personal sins are involved in the healing process. During Church services there is prayer in one
accord, but while at home each and every believer must have a personal and
direct prayer to God constantly and consistently. Prayer is a personal and spiritual
communication with God. Our Lord Jesus Christ
is the best teacher of prayer and our best example in prayer. His counsel on
how to conduct personal prayer is simple and concise:
"But you, when you
pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father
who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly." (Mt. 6:6)
Here are five basic principles for personal
prayer.
1. "When you pray" indicates there must
be a time for personal prayer.
2. "Go into your room"
indicates there must be a special
place for prayer.
3. "Shut your door"
indicates there
must be absolute privacy in prayer.
4. "Pray to your Father" indicates prayer is directed to
our Father in heaven
5. "And your Father will reward you openly"
indicates God answers a personal prayer.
Our Lord Jesus Christ also taught us
to pray in His name. "Most assuredly, I say to you,
whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you." (Jn.
16:23).

HEALING, GOD'S WAY

In the Holy Bible we
discovered that the Lord desires to heal all our diseases. We read in
Psalm 103: 3-5 the promise of the Lord, "Who forgiveth
all thine iniquities; who healeth
all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from
destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth
thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the
eagle's." His desire is that we "prosper and be in health even
as our souls prosper." 3 John 2. Jesus
longs to heal and restore His created beings to what was lost through
sin. He presents the gift of healing but few take it. He wants to
restore us back to health from the diseases that are in such epidemic
proportions.
I remember a lady whom
we will call Janis. Janis started experiencing pain in the right side of
her diaphragm at the lower portion of the rib cage. At first she ignored
the pain, thinking it would pass. After a few months, with incredible
pain, she made an appointment with her family doctor. He put her through
a battery of tests and afterwards referred Janis to a specialist. Once
again she had to go through more tests, costing thousands and thousands of
dollars. When the results of the tests came back, she was given a
diagnosis of cancer involving the liver. The doctor also told her that he
was concerned that it was beginning to spread to other organs of the body. Fear
gripped Janis at that moment. Because of various circumstances she had
always feared that she would someday have cancer. Now came
the grim reality that the fear had finally come upon her.
"Doctor," she
gasped, "What can I do? Is there any treatment that I can take? Please, give me some hope!"
"I would recommend
starting chemotherapy as soon as possible. We might even be able to use
radiation to slow down the growth of the cancer," he unfeelingly
replied. "Doctor, am I going to
die?" "Well," he hesitated momentarily before he spoke.
"I think you could live at least 18 months; maybe even a little
longer."
At that moment
Janis felt that a literal death sentence had been pronounced upon her.
Her hopes, her dreams and her life were virtually over. There was no more
hope as the countdown began. Soon she would start chemotherapy and would
have to face the reality of the devastating side effects of the poisonous
mixture that would include not only extreme nausea, but also the loss of her
beautiful hair.
Once Janis returned
home, she found her calendar and started marking off 18 months. There was
so much she wanted to do with her life, she thought as she dried her tears and
sent a prayer to the Lord. "Lord," she pleaded, "Let me
live!"
Janis' husband, Tim, was
also devastated by the news. That night they discussed what plan of
treatment they should pursue.
"I know of people who
have been healed of cancer using juicing and other means," Tim pondered.
Overhearing his remark, Janis
questioned. "Will it work for me? I'm afraid. Maybe
chemotherapy would be better. After all, surely the doctor knows what is
best for me."
The decision was
made. They would go the conventional route, using the chemotherapy.
And so the treatments began.
As time passed, hope was
put aside for despair. Janis' life was filled with pain and a growing
dependence upon others. She weakened, not only physically, but also
mentally. She was also starting to give up.
I ask you, the reader.
Is this God's way of healing, through poisonous drugs and burning
radiation? The answer is of course, NO. The Lord has only one approved
method. It is far from man's way with his pagan poisons and magical
so-called remedies, which may seem to work for a time, but fail in the
end. God's ways never fail, but we have the responsibility to follow His
plan in order for it to be effective in our lives. When Janis lost hope,
she lost her connection with the Lord.
I am reminded of another
lady who was diagnosed with a crippling disease when she was only 19 years of
age. Hilda was a bright student and wanted to serve the Lord. Her
education was geared for ministry in music, as she loved to sing songs of
praise to her Creator. When the doctor told her she had a rare disease
and would be stooped, eventually becoming crippled, her future plans seemed
dismal. She went home and cried out to the Lord. After a few days,
her decision was made. "I will follow the Lord's health plan, not man's." Even
though the pain was still with her, Hilda had a peace that filled her soul.
Over the next few
months, Hilda's condition seemed to worsen. But the more severe the pain,
the more she depended upon the Lord God. She had read in James 1:6,
"Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering." There was no wavering
in this young woman. She held fast to the Lord's promises and followed
all His health laws which included; eating natural foods, exercising, resting,
drinking plenty of water, getting out in the sunshine and fresh air, staying
away from anything that would be harmful and depending entirely upon her Saviour, Jesus.
Everyday Hilda prayed
reciting the promises in the word of God. Such promises as found in Mark
11:24. "Therefore I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire,
when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
She believed her health would be restored. After all, Jesus said,
"Whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall
receive." Matt
One day Hilda woke up to
find the symptoms were gone. The disease considered incurable, was
gone. Hilda was healed! What joy filled that family as they praised
the Lord.
Years had passed since
her diagnosis, yet Hilda held on to the promises of God. I believe the
Lord tests individuals to see how much they truly trust Him. Will they do
the right thing or take the easy way out giving the responsibility of their health
to a stranger?
In order to have health
we must not be driven by fear, anger, resentment or distrust. We need to be
filled with hope, love, peace and joy, trusting in our Saviour.
This trust cannot fail.
Most of us know the story of Dr.
People give up on the
Lord's method because of impatience. We live in a fast-fix society;
taking a pill for instant relief, covering up the symptoms so that we feel
good. Someday we will have to pay the price for that impatience. We
are told in Psalm 40:1, "I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined
unto me and heard my cry." Hilda waited patiently; Dr.
The Lord allows illness.
If he desired, He could prevent it, but he also works on the law of cause and
effect. We have to take the responsibility to change the habits that are
causing these diseases. In many cases, illness or injury brings the
sufferer to Jesus. What a blessing! Wouldn't it be better to go through
these trials now -- the trials that bring us to Jesus --and have eternal life,
than to have comfort now and miss out on our salvation? I believe many will be
in the Kingdom because they needed the "Great Physician," and learned
to know and trust Him through their illness.
Too often we put Jesus
aside and put our trust in a doctor or a medicine. For a time we feel better
and think we are cured, only to have something worse come upon us. Our only
safety is in Jesus and His method of true healing.
A few months ago we met
a couple in our community. We would see them on occasion and exchange
nice greetings. Not much happened beyond these casual exchanges until
about two months ago when the lady started experiencing pain in her lower
abdomen. She was examined by a number of specialists and after several MRIs and other diagnostic testing, was found to be full of
tumors. One tumor had grown to the size of a large grapefruit. The
prognosis and future was grim. Surgery was scheduled and fear filled her
and her husband, alike. All of a sudden they became interested in our
health work and desired to have a re-acquaintance with their Lord, Jesus.
We spent time encouraging them to give up coffee, tobacco and meat. How
important the laws of health are. Most importantly, we prayed. We
prayed with them and then continued to hold them up to the Lord in prayer. We
prayed individually. We prayed as a staff and as a church. We also
know that many around the country were praying for her. Last week she
went in for surgery. This was a choice they felt they had to make.
When the doctors opened her, all the tumors were gone!! Praise
God!! -- she was healed; no cancer was found! The
doctors were filled with wonderment realizing that this was a miracle.
God wants to heal
you. First, to be healed of all sin, and then of the
physical and mental maladies of which you may be suffering. You
could then be like the woman we just mentioned, being healed instantly, or like
Hilda or Dr. Day where you may have to be patient and wait on the Lord,
following day by day the health plan He has given to us. Whichever way,
you will be blessed if you follow Jesus. Healing only comes through Him.
We are praying that you will accept Christ fully into your life, committing
your health totally to Him to teach you the best ways to take care of your
body. This is the only way to have HEALING, GOD'S WAY.

Hal Weeks had
cancer at the age of fifty eight. When he prayed a great miracle occurred in
his life. He was healed completely by the power of Jesus Christ
MY MEDICAL DATA
My name is Hal Weeks. I
first discovered I had cancer when I was fifty-eight years old. The prognosis
was a thirty-five percent chance of survival for five years. But God had other
plans. I am now ninety. This is the story of this miracle which occurred
without any medical intervention other than diagnosis. Although originally it
was treated with cobalt for a period of twenty-one days, as it turned out, it
did not heal me. About four years later I discovered several nodes in my neck
and under my right armpit that seemed to be growing. In August, 1977, at the
age of sixty-four, a large node was removed from my right armpit. It was
diagnosed as a poorly differentiated nodular lymphoma. I was then referred to
an oncologist for treatment. However, he agreed to defer any treatment on the
basis of my belief that I would be divinely healed. I was scheduled to return
in three months. When I returned, he could find no evidence of the cancer. He
said, "If I were examining you for the first time, I would have diagnosed
you as not having the disease." I continued having periodic checkups until
August, 1982, at age 69, at which time he transferred me back to my family
doctor. Then in 1995 I discovered two large lumps over the right collarbone. I
did not have a biopsy since I did not plan to have medical intervention and the
surgeon said there would therefore be no point in it. Again, I turned it over
to the Lord. After six months during which time the tumors increased in size
and number, I began to have second thoughts about not seeking medical help. As
clearly as I have ever heard the Lord "speak", He said "I thought
you had turned it over to me." I repented of my concerns and again trusted
God for a healing. It stopped getting worse for two months, at which time the
Lord said it would be gone in three months -- and it was. Since then I have had
many other conditions healed, again without medical intervention. There has
been no further reoccurrence of the cancer.
This is not to say we
should not seek medical help. I have and do use the resources of medical
science on occasion.
SPIRITUAL COROLLARY
Having always believed
in prayer, I had been asking God to heal me all during the course of this
disease. However, since I had not revealed my condition to more than a couple
of friends, I had not received much -- if any -- general prayer. For several
years, I did believe I had been healed and I did receive what the doctors
called a marvelous remission. But with the recurrence in August, 1977, and a
diagnosis that the condition was now more advance, I became deeply troubled. At
that time, a friend of mine invited me to attend a Full Gospel Businessmen's
Fellowship dinner. Their emotional behavior turned me off so I decided to
"lay a fleece" before the Lord. I said, "Lord, if this is
something you want me to get involved in, heal my back." (I had a back
problem that was causing me pain at the time) Immediately the pain left and my
back was healed. This was the deciding factor in my seeking the experience
known in charismatic and Pentecostal circles as the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
I was prayed for to receive this at a Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship
meeting on
Although medical science
classifies this as a spontaneous remission, I claim it as a divine healing.
UPDATE TO MY TESTIMONY
I am now ninety years
old and still have not had any evidence of the return of cancer.
However, I did have
congestive heart failure several months ago that has resulted in my now taking
medication. My heart is doing fine and the prognosis for my condition is over
five years survival rate. However, the medication
side-affects have caused me some unsteadiness on my feet .
This is manageable so I am still able to continues
teaching my class on healing. In addition, I am experiencing many blessing from
the responses I am receiving from those who have visited my website.
Some have wondered why I
have not just prayed about my heart condition like I did for my cancer and have
it healed. Actually, I just turned it over to the Holy Spirit and asked Him
what I should do. He said to continue the medication. In fact, I now -- having
given him my body -- just turn my physical needs of to Him to do whatever is
His plan. some things have been healed; some things
have not. Blessed is the name of the Lord. I believe some thing may not be
healed to keep us mindful that we do not do the healing.
I continue to see others
healed through my prayers, as well as through those who have followed our
teaching on "How to heal the sick" I have told the Lord I am more
than satisfied with the lifespan He has already given me, but He says this is
not my time and I am to continue in ministry several more years. He has told me
my leaving this "vale of tears" will be peaceful and without trauma.
Who could ask for any more than that?

I am twenty six year old
lady. I would like to testify before everyone, how Jesus healed me. My illness
began about three years ago. Initially I had severe pain in my legs, and I
began ayurvedic treatment and later tried many other
medicines. But all in vain. My pain increased day by
day. A doctor suggested that I take an MRI scan, and from that my illness was
revealed. It was cancer of the spine. I

It was in this hopeless
and desperate situation, that I happened to attend a retreat conducted by a
pastor in our place. On the second day of the retreat, I felt a severe pain in
my legs, and the pastor prayed for me. The very next day, while the praise and
worship was going on, I felt a great heaviness in my legs and heard the pastor
saying that God is healing a young woman, who is having Cancer in the spine,
and my name was also called out. After the retreat, we took the MRI scan and
the result showed that I am completely healed. There were no signs of my
earlier disease.
Now two years have
elapsed, and I am in good health. From the retreat onwards, I humbled myself
before Jesus, and submitted my life to Him. I submitted all my earlier beliefs
and traditions to which I was holding on, and received Jesus as my only Savior
and Lord. I give a million thanks and
praise to my Lord Jesus for healing me. It was Christ who said “It is not medicine
or ointment, but my words that has cured you!” who by his wounds cured me. All praise and glory and honour in the
name of Jesus. Thank you Jesus, praise you Jesus, glory to be to your name ..
