A  Recuperation  Program

for  Acute  Cancer  Patients

This Recuperation Program is based on God’s Ten Natural Health Laws that were revealed to Dr. Lorraine Day when she had acute cancer and she sought after God’s help through prayer and Bible study.  She followed every one of the laws which she called the Ten Commandments of Good Health.  The best part of God’s Laws for Good Health is they are all free except that you only pay for the nutritious food which you have to pay anyway when you eat other foods.  God’s way is the best way.

1. Nutrition that is given by God in the Holy Bible.

2. Exercise regularly – our bodies are created by God for movement.

3. Pure clean water – drink at least 8 glasses a day

4. Sunlight is given by God for good health – go outdoors daily

5. Temperance – abstain from tobacco, alcohol, drugs and unclean food

6. Fresh Air – go outdoors daily to breathe oxygen that cleans the blood

7. Rest – proper time to sleep is essential for recuperation and recovery

8. Stress relief – do not worry – just relax and be joyful

9. Trust in God - The Lord Jesus Christ is the only true Healer

10. An Attitude of Gratitude and benevolence – have a Christian character

Cancer can be healed by following God's Ten Natural Health Laws
Faith and Positive Outlook is Essential for Healing

1.   Start  your  day  by  praising  and  thanking  God

When you wake up in the morning there is nothing that pleases God more than when you praise and give thanks to Him that you are still alive (Psm. 146:1-2).  The first words that you utter should be HalleluYah! Praise the LORD!”  All God’s children are alive on earth for His purpose only (Rom. 14:7-8).

The next thing is to pray (with your spouse).  Husbands and wives are the two closest people on earth.  “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (Gen. 1:27)  “And He answered and said to them, ‘Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning made them male and female.’ And said,  ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?  So then, they are no long two but one flesh.  Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” (Mt. 19:4-6)  You may pray by yourself, but two persons praying together in one accord is very powerful.  The Lord Jesus Christ said, “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.  For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” (Mt. 18:19-20)

2.   Appreciate and enjoy the goodness of God

There is a song called “The best things in life are free.” We often take things for granted and seldom appreciate the best things in life that are given by God.  If you have a garden in your backyard just go out there and enjoy the fresh air and the sunshine, both of which are absolutely free to give you good health.  If you live in an apartment just go out to the balcony and do the same.  If you do not have a balcony just open the window and do the same.  While you are out there do some simple exercises.  Dr Lorraine Day said that when you appreciate the goodness of God’s creation by breathing the fresh air, basking in the sunshine and doing exercises you will be able to notice the healing effects on the cancer after a very short time of just a few weeks.  Her tumour began to shrink and disappear after following God’s Ten Natural Health Laws.

3.   Have a simple Breakfast

The word “breakfast” comes from two words “break” and “fast”.  You have been sleeping for several hours and your stomach has been resting during that time.  It is good not to overstrain your stomach by eating too much at breakfast.  You may start with fruit juice.  Then go with cereals with milk.  Be very careful with the cereals.  Many of them are processed and toasted and their nutritional value has been much reduced.  The best cereal is uncooked rolled oats with raisins on milk.  If you do not drink milk (dairy product) you may substitute it with soymilk.  If you feel that your stomach can still handle some more food then eat a slice or two of whole wheat bread.

Do not eat any processed or fried foods because they cause cancer and will make your illness worse.  Do not touch sausages (pork), bacon or ham.  They are unclean meats that defile the body which is the temple of God (Lev. 11:44-47; 1 Cor. 3:16-17)

4.   Eating between Meals and after Dinner

Dr. Lorraine Day states emphatically that a cancer patient who wants to be healed and recover 100% must drink plenty of water.  She suggests 10 glasses (8 ounce each) of water every day.  You have to schedule your own time to drink these 10 glasses.

If you have your breakfast before 8:00 a.m. in the morning you would feel hungry again by 10:00 a.m., and if you have your lunch at 12:00 noon then by 3:00 p.m. you would also feel hungry again.  This is the time when you can eat some fresh fruits.  Do not eat any canned fruits with the syrup.  You can have the choice of different fresh fruits such as apple, orange, pears, banana, strawberry, etc.  If fresh fruits are not available in the locality where you live you can eat sun-dried fruits such as raisins, prunes, dates, figs and apricots.  Dehydrated fruits that are reconstituted to its original form may be eaten.

5.   Lunch  and  Dinner

Before having lunch or dinner have a joint prayer and Bible reading with your spouse.

If you are not a vegan or vegetarian person it is difficult not to eat any cooked foods because you have been eating cooked foods all your past life.  If you have cancer and the doctor told you there is nothing else they can do for you anymore except to wait and die like what Dr. Lorraine Day was going through, then you have to decide to completely change your lifestyle and diet.

Cancer  patients  should  know  why  they  cannot  eat  Cooked  Food

Cooking kills all the enzymes in the food therefore the cooked food lessen your body’s ability to rebuild your immune system that is highly essential in the healing of cancer.  Enzymes are absolutely critical to the digestive and nutritional processes in the body. The source of enzymes is FRESH unprocessed food.  Examples are fresh vegetables, nuts, berries, grain, fruit, and meat.  As long as these foods are fresh, the enzymes in them help us to digest them and convert them into fuel for the body.  If the food sits too long in the open air, the enzymes start breaking them down before they enter our body.  Enzymes (and bacteria) thus cause the "rot" process characteristic of spoiled food.  Without enzymes, the process is slowed down or eliminated altogether.

Enzymes can be destroyed by heat. If you elevate the temperature of any food above 137 degrees Fahrenheit, you will destroy the enzymes in it. This will make the food much harder for your body to digest.  A cancer patient needs enzymes to rebuild the immune system to recover fully from the illness.  Eating cooked food retards the healing process.

If you want to recover 100%, not just survive for a short period of time, but you actually want to “remove every cancer cell in your body from the top of your head to the tip of your toes”, then you have to eat only uncooked and unprocessed food.  No exception!  That is what Dr. Day did, and it is one of the ten reasons she was completely healed.

What  do  Cancer  patients  eat  for  Lunch  and  Dinner?

It can be very difficult for the cancer patient or the spouse to come up with a menu for uncooked and unprocessed food every meal and every day.  In America you can go to any salad bar and choose from dozens of uncooked and unprocessed food to eat.  They are also very delicious too!  Just to get some ideas just go to eat in one of the salad bars and see the variety of raw food you can eat for lunch or dinner.

Dr. Day suggests that you eat plenty of vegetables during your main meals which are the lunch and dinner.  A nutritional powerhouse, vegetables have vitamins and minerals and are good sources of dietary fiber and phytochemicals — a group of compounds that may help prevent chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer and diabetes.  Many vegetables, such as broccoli, green peppers and spinach, are also good sources of antioxidants — substances that slow down oxidation, a natural process that leads to cell and tissue damage.  Vegetables contain no cholesterol and are naturally low in fat, sodium and calories.

Different vegetables provide different nutrients, so enjoy a wide variety.  All colors, even white, have important health benefits. But some vegetables provide more health benefits than do others.  Dr. Day repeatedly mentions two vegetables that prevent and also fight cancer.  One of them is barley green :à  http://www.gogreenhealth.com/  The second one is carrot/apple juice which must be part of the main meal.  Carrot is very effective for prevention and healing of cancer is because it contains beta carotene.

Eat lots of fresh foods, including fruits, vegetables, nuts (not peanuts – Kachang or groundnuts in Malaysia), berries, whole grains other than wheat, whole uncooked seeds, flax seeds and fresh flax oil, leaf vegetables like spinach and collards. If at all possible, JUICE them and drink them. Try to eat all the fresh foods available in a season. This gives you variety and the full nutritional advantage possible.  Do not avoid broccoli, spinach, turnips, potatoes, greenbeans, beets, garlic, horseradish, ginger, cayenne peppers, onions, cauliflower, cabbage, and corn.

Eat lots of salads with tomatoes and sprouts like alfafa.  If you make salad dressing, use pure vegetable oil like virgin olive oil (uncooked) and sea salt, no eggs, and no refined sugar, and a variety of herbs and spices. Get as much variety as you can in the salads to keep them interesting.  It is okay to eat salt, but make it sea salt to get the mineral value.

Another set of food that you can eat during the main meals is the nut group.  They are raw Brazil nuts, hazelnuts or walnuts (peeled by yourself).  The nuts are essential to make your energy last longer. Fats stabilize blood-sugar level and provide long-term energy. Without the nuts, your energy goes up and down too fast.

Good sources are whole grains (like millet, brown rice, buckwheat, oats, barley, wild rice), seeds (flax, sunflower, pumpkin, cantaloupe, grape, apple, etc), corn (for mush, grits, cornbread, boiled corn), a small amount of butter (but NEVER margarine or hardened vegetable oil), nuts (but never roasted peanuts which produce a detrimental acid), dried fruits (like dates, raisins, figs), and beans of all kinds (lentils, split-pea, kidney, navy, black, etc).

You do not have to cook dried foods to soften them. You can soften seeds, beans, grains, and other dried foods by allowing them to soak in cool water without cooking them for up to 36 hours, but you should be careful not to let them spoil.  Also, you can process seeds by grinding them in a seed or coffee mill, but be careful NOT to allow them to overheat (above 130 degrees F).  If you grind them, you can use them as cereal or spoon them into a blender with juice to make a thick, hearty, high-protein drink. Beverages - no milk other than for cereal or cooking, no caffeine-based drinks like coffee, cola, or over-steeped tea.  Herb teas are okay. Drink at least 10 glasses of pure water every day (ideally from a purifier like a reverse-osmosis filter).

Fruit and vegetable juices are very important, but only fresh ones that you make yourself with a juicer, and not the ones you buy in a grocery store. Remember that water keeps you from getting dehydrated, and it helps to flush the bowels, kidneys, lungs, and skin.

Percentages - Eat a variety of fruits, but restrict citrus to less than 10% of the diet (oranges, grapefruit, tomatoes).  Strive for a dietary mix of 60% vegetables and 40% fruit.

For instance, if you typically use only one type of lettuce — such as iceberg lettuce — you're missing out on some nutrients, not to mention taste. Also try bibb, romaine or dark leaf lettuce, all of which have more vitamins A and C than the iceberg variety. Eating a variety of colorful vegetables not only ensures that you get more nutrients but also helps make your meals and snacks more interesting.

For more variety, experiment with unfamiliar vegetables. For example, jicama (Sar-kot in Chinese and bungkuang in Malay) is high in vitamin C and fiber.   It is called a Mexican potato that looks like a turnip and tastes like a water chestnut, only sweeter.  Fancy yam (sweet potato in Malaysia) is very high in beta carotene.  Chicory, a leafy vegetable often used in salads, is high in folate, vitamins A and C, potassium and fiber. It's also a good source of calcium, magnesium, riboflavin, and vitamin B-6. Other nutrient-packed vegetables stock the produce section of your grocery store, so don't limit yourself to just familiar favorites.

6.   How  to  spend  the  evening  after  Dinner

Most people in America would spend their time after dinner by watching television – either the news, their favorite program or sports events.  If you are an acute cancer patient you cannot and should not do the same things as other people do.  Dr. Lorraine Day realized that sickness is not just a physical thing, it is also a mental and, more importantly, it is a spiritual illness.  She said that during her recuperation period she did not read the daily newspaper because most of it is bad news.  She did not watch the television because most of the programs are garbage and worldly in nature.  She spends much of her time in prayer, reading the Bible and thinking of the good and positive things of how to get well.  The most important thing is to have a good relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ.

There are many good video and audio tapes on Christian themes and music that you can listen to and relax after dinner.

Dr. Lorraine Day urges cancer patients to have sufficient time spent ALONE with God in prayer and in Bible study.  Here is what she said concerning her relationship with God.

”This is the MOST IMPORTANT part of the plan, & without this a person does not have the courage, the strength, the commitment, the self-discipline or the faith to follow the plan & believe it can really work.

People often say, "Well, I talk to God all day." That's NOT the same as dedicated Bible study & fervent prayer, ALONE with God with you on your knees!  Unless, of course, you are too ill to be out of bed.

I had to spend a minimum of an hour EVERY day praying & reading God's Word. God says
"You will find ME when you search for Me with ALL your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13) You should spend at least as much time every day feeding your mind with spiritual food (Bible study & prayer) as you spend feeding your body with physical food.

That's the way it has to be. And claim God's healing promises that are all through the Bible, such as Deuteronomy 7:11-15 & Psalms 103:1-4.

When I was sick, I couldn't seem to pray enough. I had at least three prayer sessions every day.  One alone & two with my husband.

God is the healer. He just does it through His natural health plan.

You CAN be well! But the strength, determination, & self-discipline come from the Lord. You must replenish your supply daily by going to Him ALONE every morning.”

Read the Holy Bible with your spouse and pray together before going to bed.

7.   Sleep  early  for  Recuperation  and  Good  Health

We have all heard the saying “Early to bed, early to rise, makes you healthy, wealthy and wise.”  Dr. Lorraine Day said that getting proper rest at the right time is one of the important keys to full recovery from her cancer.  During her period of recuperation she always go to bed by 9:30 p.m. every evening.   Here is the reason why she does that.

Recent scientific and medical studies have shown that the Life Force is deranged by sleep deficit (lack of sleep) when the body is not reserved enough time to repair itself. Therefore the body becomes even more overwhelmed by the disease forces due to lack of time given it to repair itself.

Remember that you are a PATIENT and therefore you "MUST" strictly adhere to a 9:30 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. lights out, because your body is sick; and it absolutely, positively, "MUST" have 9.25 hours in "every" 24 hour period to use its circadian rhythm to set the body clock to provide the normal healing functions that occur at nightime.

"If" the body is deprived of repair time, "then" the body will warn you by producing abnormal signs and symptoms due to lack of sleep/repair time. Once the normal circadian rhythms and functions of the body are disturbed/changed by lack of 9.25 hours of sleep:

Then the body start behaving abnormally, and bizarre sensations of various kinds are felt in "addition" to the initial disease manifestations. The power of self-protection is diminished and the body becomes susceptible to all manner of symptomatology.

That is why it is MANDATORY to set your circadian rhythm to normal by getting prepared for bed at 9:30 P.M. and to "BE ASLEEP" by 10:00 P.M..

PATIENTS must be getting ready for bed by 9:30 P.M. and asleep by 10:00 P.M.. Remember that YOU ARE A "PATIENT", and also know that even a well person must have 9.25 hours of sleep according to the latest studies of August 2003.

Again:  PATIENTS must be in readying for bed by 9:30 P.M. and soundly asleep by 10:00 P.M..  There "ABSOLUTELY" positively "MUST" be a "minimum" of 9.25 hours of solid undisturbed sleep.

What health problems are associated with decreased sleep?

Insomnia has been associated with many problems, some of which are directly related to the individual’s health in addition to significant social complications.

At its extreme, sleep deprivation can lead to death. In fact* a potential consequence of sleep deprivation is the famous death through overwork, known as "Karoshi" in Japan.

Problems with memory and concentration are among the most common complications and should not be dismissed as being unimportant.  A common manifestation of this are the word-finding difficulties (when one can't find the words one is thinking of). Another manifestation is people also get irritable with lack of sleep.

Among the most pressing social complications is marriage related problems. There are higher divorce rates in people with sleep problems.  On the other hand it has been estimated that the cost to society of sleep disorders that includes lost productivity, absenteeism at work, people getting into accidents, the cost of medications for sleeping pills or for stimulants amount to billions of dollars a year.

A new study sheds light on the importance of sleep on mental performance.

German scientists at the University of Luebeck say they have demonstrated for the first time* first hard evidence that our sleeping brains restructure memories before they are stored.

According to the study creativity and problem solving appear to be directly linked to adequate sleep.

In the study, which was published in a recent issue of the journal Nature, scientists found that volunteers taking a simple math test were three times more likely than sleep-deprived participants to figure out a hidden rule for converting the numbers into the right answer if they had eight hours of sleep.

The study involved 106 people divided into five separate groups. One group slept, another stayed awake all night, and a third stayed awake all day for eight-hour periods before testing following training in the main experiment. Two other groups were used in a supplemental experiment. The group that got eight hours of sleep before tackling the problem was nearly three times more likely to figure out the rule than the group that stayed awake at night.

The results also may shed light on the memory problems associated with aging because older people typically have trouble getting enough sleep, especially the kind of deep sleep needed to process memories.

Sleep deprivation can contribute to increased accidents, worsening health, and lower test scores. Experts are hoping this study would influence work attitudes in schools, employers and government agencies.

Author:  Dr. Tamer Fouad, M.D

You absolutely "must" be asleep by 10:00 P.M.

(For between 10 P.M. to 2:00 A.M. are the 4 hours, daily,

when "the healing hormones are produced" by the body):

"YOU" are not an exception!!

For the body to return to Homeostasis and to heal most effectively, it is necessary to get ready for bed at 9:30 P.M. and be in bed "asleep" at 10:00 P.M..

This is because the body heals itself most effectively between the hours of 10:00 P.M. and 2:00 A.M.

The body's systems function and release hormones like a giant biological clock that is preset.

Again: Between 10 P.M. and 2:00 A.M. is the 4 hour daily period when the healing hormones are produced by the body.

Being asleep during that time period will assist the body in its natural healing processes. So be asleep by 10:00 P.M. or you are just cheating and harming yourself, and weakening your body.

Therefore it is "mandatory" for the acute cancer Patient, or any other individual suffering from a chronic infection, or serious illness, to get ready for bed at 9:30 P.M. and be asleep by 10:00 P.M.. (This rule also applies to healthy individuals).

Again this cannot be stated strongly enough:

It is "mandatory" to be asleep by 10:00 P.M. -

no excuses allowed, and

"you are not an exception".

Each cell in the human body has a number of biological rhythms. Each cell's behavior is affected by the rhythms of all other cells. Millions of such rhythms of different types of cells contribute to a bigger rhythm such as heart beat. Nearly all biological rhythms follow the 24-hour cycle of a day by increasing and decreasing at certain hours of the 24 hour time period. Body temperature, blood pressure, brain activity, hormone levels and a host of other factors obey this 24 hour rhythm. Liver, kidney, gland, skin, intestine and other organs all have a 24-hour biological rhythm.

If "you" are not asleep by 10:00 P.M. you are inhibiting hundreds of bio-chemical functions.

These bio-chemical functions increase and decrease, turn on and off, and fluctuate regularly, at "specific"  times of your circadian rhythm, in order to heal your body.

Disturb these rhythms by staying awake past 10:00 P.M. and you will shorten your life span, and in the process prevent you body from healing effectively.

No one is an exception to being asleep by 10:00 P.M. and "you" are not an exception either. And especially if you are an Acute Cancer Patient, or suffering from a serious illness, you are preventing yourself from getting well if you are not asleep by 10:00 P.M. and you have only yourself to blame if you do not have complete healing.

Any believer can be healed by following God's Ten Natural Health Laws

May God bless you
