" THE WOLF"
The Wolf is a large doglike that looks a lot like a {German Shepherd} or{Alaskan Malemute} but isnt and has no master, weighs in the range from about 40 pounds to as much 150 pounds the average is around 95 pounds, there head is somewhat massive and broad. There paw size is 4 1/2 to 5 inches from front to back and is somewhat wide. Their long legs and narrow chests are suited to traveling over uneven terrain. There color's are mostly gray with white on there legs and under there belly and marked with black throughout there body. Being creatures of great strength and stamina wolves can reach speeds of over 35 mph and can cruise at slower speeds for hours at a time. Depending on the wolf pack size, the wolf pack can control territory between 25 and 400 square miles. Wolf's are loved, hated, malighned and revered and misunderstand . The wolf stirs the emotion of men .I belive that it is important to respect all kinds of life. Wheather it be Man or Beast. Wolves have a very complicated system of communication. In some respects it is used in a similar way from the language of humans but it quite different. The purpose of communications is to keep the peace and to solve there differences to express ran and relationships and in a Wolf pack it is extremely important. Have you ever noticed that there is a play time language even in pet dogs, well the wolf's has the same language, they will often place their front paws on the ground with there behind in the air with tail waving this is a signal.When a Wolf howls, do you think this a sad lonely sound just to announce its sorrow to the world , its not and this myth that they only howl at night, this is not true they howl all hours of the day and night just like the human race talks all the time. But to Wolf's this is a message that they send out to each other, it's like indians beating on drums to get the message out, well Wolf's do the same, but they howl..In a society that as grown up with children's stories like The Three little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood and as well as fantastic tales of evil and dark forces , it is no wonder that modern man fear's the wolf , in his arrogance and desire to control Mother Nature he has long sought out to eradicate the Wolf from the Wild.

I WALK AMONG THE TREES, I COULD CARE LESS WHO SEE'S ME. I WAS BORN FREE ,I AM FREE, CONTROLS ON ME CAN NOT BE, I WALK BEYOND, AS FAR AS YOU CAN SEE. IF YOU WALK UPON THE EARTH, YOU WOULD NOT FOUND ME. I WALK ENDLESSLY THROUGH THE WOODS, YOU SHELL NEVER CALL TO ME, HEAR MY HOWL IF YOU COME NEAR, THE SOUND OF FREEDOM MANY MEN FEAR. WHO AM I? THE WOLF THAT MOST MEN FEAR AND NEVER SEE, I AM YOUR SPIRIT, I WAS BORN FREE , FREE I WILL BE !

"Wolf Poem"
The cry of the Wolf,
Cuts the silence of the night. A sound so Anciently familiar,that man Instinctively seeks flight!
Those who seek to understand, Know they are not cruel. They kill only what they need, Living by Mother Nature's rules.
The wolf pack is a family,
Just like yours and mine.
Living together with unwritten laws,
Each menber knows when it is their turn to dine.
Wolves are loving and caring parents,
Punishing and praising each pup their due.For each one must learn their place, If the pack is to survive each generation anew!
So when you hear a Wolf's Houwl,
Listen to it to the full.
Feel it's Primeval Beauty,
Way deep down in your soul!
