God, grant ME...... (not my spouse, my kids or even a good friend, although they may

the SERENITY......
(that is the capacity to be tranquil, unruffled, and
unflappable in spite of it all)

the THINGS......
(as well as the people in my life)
I CANNOT CHANGE.....
(even though I have tried and tried)
The COURAGE....
(which can only come from my Higher Power)
to CHANGE THE THINGS I CAN...
(ME..my thoughts, actions and reactions)
and the WISDOM....
(perceptiveness, foresight, discernment, and sound
judgment)
to KNOW...
(not just guess or hope)
the DIFFERENCE....
(When I am in HP's will and when I simply want my
own)

God, grant me the
SERENITY
to accept the things
I cannot change
COURAGE
to change the
things I can
and the
WISDOM
to know the difference.
Living ONE DAY AT A TIME;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardship as the
pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this
sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make
all things right
if I
surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy
in this life,
and supremely
happy with Him forever in
the next.
