PLEASE NOTE: If you find an ancestor in the Pennsylvania regimental rosters, and would like to find more information about him, refer to Help Locating your Civil War Ancestor. Follow the instructions to send away to NARA for your ancestor's pension records. Also, a lot of Pennsylvania Civil War information can be found in Bates' Civil War Volunteers, A Compendium of the War of the Rebellion, Frederick H. Dyer, and A Roster of Union Soldiers, 1861-1865 located in libraries around the country. If you do not live near a library that has a copy of any of these, many libraries will do telephone look-ups. Your local library should be able to help you locate a library that has one of these sets. Also, Bates is now online and is available at Pennsylvania Civil War.
